I’m forever handing out safety pins at work, office setting. Why does no one carry these small, simple, cheap items anymore. My son is a young gentleman and always wears an analogue watch, he matches them to his outfit 🤣. Subbed!

Recently came across a report that suggested Res-Q-Me tools and similar will not work on the side windows of many modern cars. Apparently some car manufacturers have started using laminate glass in the side windows, not just the windscreens. You can find out which your car has by looking at the icon printed or etched onto the glass.

Nice vid Neil. That straight edge looked a bit like a shortened hacksaw blade...which got me thinking about how half a hacksaw blade could slide in my own EDC kit quite happily. A bit of gaffa tape around one end as a make shift handle and you've got something that could get you out of a pickle, cutting through metal objects that wire cutters or typical penknife wood saws couldn't....like these damn handcuffs!

Neil, you EDC is personal(as it should be)AND well thought out. I'd love to know which part of England you call home. I was stationed there in the mid 70s in Norwich and Cambridgeshire.

Hi Neil, new subscriber and love your channel. Going to purchase this tool role based on your recommendation for my mora knives, para cord and fire lighting kit. Can you tell me if the La-Pas knife is better than the BPS knives? I own neither but wouldn’t mind a budget friendly decent knife for general purposes. Thanks

Ey up. You mentioned your multi-tool is legal carry as the knife blade isn't locking. Is it 3" or less though as if it's longer than 3" it's still illegal.
@chrissyayles71752 ай бұрын
That Victorinox Farmer knife blade is probably under 3".. I have the Victorino Huntsman and that's a legal carry as well..

Nice setup you have there. But having the locking blade stored away in a pouch not on your body still does not make it legal. The only valid defence is along the lines that you objectively need that otherwise illegal blade for very specific purpose at that particular specific occasion. Even "Oh, I needed it yesterday and forgot to take it out" does not work. I hate that law, I think it is completely misguided, but that is what it is. I carry Victorinox Cybertool 39 to cover for the screwdrivers and the basic tools, then I supplement that with Victorinox Minichamp Lite to add scissors, light and pen. Gerber Vise is good for mini-pliers. If you want larger ones, Leatherman Bond has non-locking blade and is therefore UK-legal (specifically designed for that purpose AFAIK). I have Leatherman Wingman in my side-of-the-road bicycle repair toolbox which I carry sometimes, but I have removed the locking blade from it completely not to violate that law. Really be careful about that even with the pen - suggesting that you plan to use it as a weapon (regardless of the reason, self-defense or otherwise) may get you into trouble in UK. That law covers any weapon, including the make-shift ones, such as your pen. Just have a pen for the sole and only purpose of writing things down. (Note: I am not a lawyer and i am not capable of providing any legal advice. The above is only a summary of what I have read and you should do your rely on any part of it - make your own research and come up with your own conclusions.)

its not actually an EDC review if the tools and everything are not scratched and scuffed. showing off pristine items is just a gear review. great video m8
@ilbitwoods2 ай бұрын
Why do people insist that things aren't being used if they're not dirty and scuffed? I take care of my gear and don't have many or any (depending on the item) wear marks on them. Doesn't mean they don't get used. Also, EDC is everyday carry, which doesn't necessarily translate to every day use. I carry a pen with me every day, but, living in the digital age, I only use it twice a year. Carrying gear protected by pouches and sleeves only means taking care of your gear. Nothing wrong with that.

@@ilbitwoods Agreed, some people take far too much pride in not taking care of/ maintaining their stuff.
@ilbitwoods2 ай бұрын
@@vevenaneathna that's completely beside my point. There's nothing wrong with used looking gear - it's just not a set standard nor a real world tell sign if and how other people use theirs. Your defensive pistol analogy is very specific to that scenario and doesn't apply to any of the shown items.
@JosephAllen-d2e2 ай бұрын
I used to agree with that mentality until I had collected over 100 pocket knives and over 100 fixed blades and realized that none of them get carried more than a couple times per year.

35 minutes a tad bit long! : ( And I don't understand, why... "The holding off" of showing the item straight away? = Is it for Anticipation value? Alright already - show the item and move onto the next one. Because = I almost just left this video and on moved on to the next video and did not want to comment or "thumbs up" or anything. But, I commented and liked your video nonetheless, as I thought you had some nice items in your EDC. Good stuff = Just, move it along a little quicker in the future! No waiting to reveal your Items!
