I've been shot once. Stab once. I rather go through that again than getting a gout flare. Has gout flare on my foot and wrist at the same time. After that I've lost over 50lbs. I stopped drinking soda and stopped eating process meat. I boosted on fruits and veggies and drinking 1 gallon of water a day. If you've never had gout. You don't know the pain in talking about lol...

Just a tip, if you’re suffering from gout. Try to elevate your feet with a pillow when you’re sleeping, the crystals will flow downwards and not focused on your big toe, hence less pain. But please eat moderately! - I suffer from gout too.

Moderation is still the best key. This video is only applicable to those who are already diagnosed with Gout and Goutic Arthritis. Of course, if these foods are consumed in limited amounts and coupled with a balanced diet and regular exercise, we can be sure we're far from getting sick of gout.

It’s the carbs/sugary foods that causes gout spikes, eat meat without them and your good. If you still have lingering gout symptoms, apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, twice a day, morning, empty stomach, night, half hour before eating meat, this will help digestion. Hope this helps.

Had gout for over 20 years . Starting taking turmeric and its gone . I eat and Drink what i want but always have my turmeric capsules with me .In two years, I got a warning or two of a possible flare up , Took two turmeric capsules and everything back to normal again . No meds , no anti inflammatories for over two years. Before that i was getting an attack every two months .

My advice if you want to get back to work is get a good anti inflammatory and after it that has worked, start taking the turmeric. Take two a day for a month and then one a day for maintenance. Drink plenty of water every day.

I must agree having gout myself I can attest that it is very painful . But not uncontrollable . The main thing is when you have it. Take heed of the foods and drinks to avoid. It’s not a joke. Keep in mind keep everything in moderation . See your doctor for antibiotics . Take them regularly even when your symptoms cease. Try to keep foods and drinks in moderation and you will be ok. Myself I found beer was my main contributor . Now I take my meds from the doctor. I also take tart cherry tabs and celery seed. Work for me.

I have been suffering from gout for the last 30 years or more, but it was diagnosed as gout for only the last 10 years or so. My doctor treated me with tab Zyloric 100 mg, 3 times a day. At present I am taking only 1 tab a day. Besides this, I am now taking Baksons Rheum Aid homeopathic tab, once a day. I have got more than 90% relief from Gout. I still get slight attacks at about intervals of about 3 months, but when I do, I take a Zerodol table which gives me quick relief. I am now 71 years old, and I eat and drink everything that the doctors have advised me not to have, but I don't over indulge in them. I'm happy! You too can be happy as long as you don't take your doctors too seriously. Cheers to you good health!!!

I was about to buy a new lawnmower. After watching this video I saw my life with huge clarity: I will eat my garden's grass and save bucks on the lawnmower, stop spending on food and doing my body a favour lowering my uric acid level. The best thing is to see what actually affects you. My step dad had big problems with pork and green beans. He didn't like canned tuna, but it was the taste not gout. He ate beef regularly and had no problems. So test the foods you eat based on actual lists of good, medium, and bad foods. Not everything affects everyone in the same way.

You need to find your threshold. I had two gout episodes in my life. I still eat purine rich foods but in moderation. If you eat them everyday, you will end up having gout for sure. If you dont eat them at all, you may end up having other deficiencies in your body, in the longer term.

I had major uric acid issues from my early 20's. There were days I couldn't walk from the gout pain in my feet. And then, I went vegan ... well mostly. I still eat honey and the occasional egg but other than that, I eat plant food only. My acid issues completely disappeared. I eat mostly whole foods, but I do still have bread, pasta, red wine and even the occasional highly processed food, without any gout or even slight joint pain. I also must add, that I drink warm lemon water with cayenne pepper pretty much every morning before I consume anything else, so I do think that this may offset the naughty stuff I sometimes eat. Mushrooms, brinjals and cooked tomatoes used to be an issue for me, but now I eat as much of these as I want with zero issues. Taking animal foods out of my diet changed my life over night ... not just curing my gout, but also an array of other issues I had. I hope this helps even one person get pain free and their lives back. Much love 💜

Purines ( nearly all the food mentioned ) are high in vitamin B12 which is absolutely necessary for the nervous system and others to function properly, it is transported through the gut by a thing called "intrinsic factor" and if this is not working properly the purine build up will cause gout.... People that have the most to gain by giving you the wrong information is to make sure you need a doctor. Doctor's and nutritionists both benefit by sick people. If we evolved from the earths water, we would not exist if it weren't for salt. It's an electrolyte, without it you're dead. Just don't exceed 1500 to 2000 mgs a day, and make sure it has Iodine. Look up the benefits of Iodine and the results of low Iodine.

IF you have problems with gout , you should avoid shellfish (shrimp, crabs etc) and beef EXCESSIVELY and for some people people pork as well.....I had gout for the 1st time in my life and went to the ER and was told it was from excessive seafood and beef....I can eat a dozen crabs ...that is how much l like them ...anyway ...eat those foods in MODERATION...to counteract gout you can drink REAL ORGANIC Cherry juice to control the symptoms of gout BEFORE indulging in the above foods....

Not all foods react the same way. Some ppl can eat red meat with gout and have no issues. Some ppl can drink beer. The best thing to do is find out what triggers your gout and remove that from your diet. And if it flares up. Drink a litre of pure cherry juice one day and for the next 2 to 3 days drink a 1/2 litre of pure cherry juice. It will flush out the uric acid

Allopurinol is the only thing that ever helped me. I quit drinking for 15 years and was a vegetarian for five years too, and I also exorcised regularly and I still had frequent gout flare ups. Allopurinol cured my gout and I can drink and eat what I want. I haven't had a flare-up in six years

Or you can just do Intermittent Fasting and get rid of gout. Most inflammatory issues (like gout) arise from people eating too much in general.

Agreed. But prevention is for the people who are already suffering from Gout or higher levels of Uric Acid. For others it is always a good idea to eat everything healthy in moderation. Thank you for the feedback : ) Wishing you a happy and healthy life.

Last year, the doctor told me a list of food to avoid if I want to avoid gout flare-ups (I had two flare-ups last year and it was hell). Then, I asked my doctor, "Can I get a voluntary euthanasia instead?", then he said no! That's how many food items I cannot eat! I would rather be dead!

Do not avoid salt! But use Himalyn salt . Not the striped down salt that is on the restaurant table. They take the iodine out no minerals left in it!

I eat non of those 10 but had of late taking sparingly four-winged beans for days running.and I had my first taste of gaut at 71.So excruciating pain.could not sleep until morning.

One year back Had cologne therapy my uric acid reduced to 4.5 from 7.5 after 2 day test .also from last 1month having mix salad diet small cut pieces full bowl prior meal that help me reduce weight by almost 7kg also avoided tea& cofee the pain in my finger joints have drastically reduced

Ruth, you need to take the time and do some research on "why" you get a gout attack. First, and foremost, it's hereditary. You can thank your Mom or Your Dad. In my case, Mom. Then you need to understand biologically what's happening to cause gout. Although something like spinach is very healthy, it's also a gout attack waiting to be eaten. Just because a food is healthy for the many, doesn't mean it's healthy for those us blessed with gout. Take shrimp. Low fat. High protein. Good food for the many. Delicious. Yet for those of us with gout, it too is a nightmare waiting to be ingested. Do some research. You won't like what you find but at least you'll understand why normally healthy food, isn't, for gout prone folks.
