I like the Monster Inc theory, It makes sense. The Incredibles theory, not so much. I mean, the sea monsters have nothing in common with the supers. Like, how would mixing human and sea monster genes result in humans with random super powers?

The missing link to this theory or any of the Disney Pixar theories is probably going to be revealed in the new Pixar movie LIGHTYEAR. I saw someone in the comments under the trailer say Buzz was probably the first super original super. It makes sense. Especially with the obsession with Space we see in a lot of these movies. I could be wrong but I would love if they decide to tie it all together that way.

The best part of Luca to me is when the two old women "came out" and revealed themselves as sea monsters. The fact they were always together...a metaphor for 'coming out' as a lesbian couple? I wouldn't put it past Pixar as they are always forward-looking and try to slip in progressive themes in their stories.
