Julia, I turn 70 years old next week. 70!!! How did that happen so fast? My message to you is this: I have few regrets from my life but one is that, while I trained for a career as a "stewardess" (what flight attendants were called in the Dark Ages) way back in the early 70's...I did not follow my dream. I was bright and happy and attractive but I simply did not have enough confidence in myself to take that last step to make flying a career. Time went by and soon I was too old to apply. I love your channel because you made your dream come true, even with feelings of inadequacy from time to time. Thank you for being human and sharing your true self with us. I suppose I now live my past dreams through you with this channel but it is all I have here in this late stage of my life. My life motto now: Keep looking up...there is always more to see. 🙂

Julia I have been married to my wonderful wife for 17 wonderful we recently celebrated our 17th Wedding Anniversary on the 16th of July. What you are experiencing is normal. Yeah different people live life differently and you and Eric have had many discussions as to how y'all are gonna live your lives and that is totally fine. Never, ever second guess yourself. Social media can be so toxic. I found myself in the same mindset as you, and living through comparing my life to others on my feed. I went cold turkey back in February and cut all of it out. I have really noticed a difference in my levels of happiness, etc. Also I found it shortened my attention span more and more when I was using it. I hope you're able to find a helpful solution to make you feel better. ❤️

We all feel like that from time to time and it is hard. I just had to remind myself that nothing is what it seems. Even a perfect moment you see of someone else's life could have been absolutely clouded in darkness for them. And things will happen when they're meant to happen! I used to see others getting engaged, having kids, getting incredible jobs, etc... But now those things have happened for me, I'm so grateful that they all happened at the right time in my life. I'm kinda in the same boat having feelings of inadequacy seeing my friends and other people on social media. I see my friends having relationships, getting engaged, getting married, having kids etc. and i'm doing none of that at the moment and I feel like they're way ahead of me. I'm 27 with autism and never had a girlfriend and I feel very sad and insecure that my friends have a bright future and I don't. But as you said everybody is on a different timeline and i'm sure my time will come when I finally get a girlfriend and eventually get married and have children and i'm sure your timeline will come for you and Eric when the time is right. I haven't worn pantyhose since 1997 when my office went business casual! As for life, I didn't get married until I was 38 and had my daughter when I was 40! All those great things - weddings, houses and kids - came after I lived an entire life as a single working women. I think I was a better wife and mother because of it. You will do it all!!!

You definitely are not alone in how you're feeling Julia. My boyfriend and I went to his sister's wedding earlier this month and all their family was telling us throughout the night " the next wedding we're going to is yours right? " It made me feel happy because we have talked about marriage and our future. We have a 5 year window to get married, have kids and live together. However, it also made me feel insecure as his sister is younger than us and is now already married. We are both 28 years old but we've been together for 3 years but met 4 years ago. My boyfriend told me he's going to propose "sooner than later" ( very vague I know) and now I'm seeing all these ads everywhere about wedding things and my friends from high school getting married on Facebook. We went to Vegas the day after the 4th of July and he joked about eloping there. Now my mom's making me look up wedding venues to price them and I'm like whoa mom please relax some he hasn't proposed yet! I'm hoping my mom's energy calms down soon as it's not helping me get over my insecurity. Since the wedding, I've been thinking when will he propose, when is soon and why is he so vague? But I have to constantly remind myself through pep talks that things will happen at their own pace in your own timeline. A good thing at the wrong time can be a disaster in the making. Stop wasting time and getting anxious about the future that you're missing out on living in the present, as you can't get that time back you missed. Live in the moment and let life happen. Comparing yourself to others is not healthy. Try not to stay stuck in that mindset for too long. Give yourself a deadline and on that day shake off those thoughts and mindset and replace them with something new you've always wanted to do or a positive activity. Continue to live your life and do things they make you happy. That's what I'm trying to do now. Hope this helps you and anyone else. Great video. So every time my partner and myself fly we always send an email or go on the airline website and send a comment on how great the flight attendants are. In October 2021 I flew from LAX TO BOS (back home) and we flew American the flight attendant for our cabin was awesome. I emailed the company. Hi Julia, I love your vlogs and always follow you and I understand how you feel with regards to social media. It's one of the main reasons that I'm not on FB, Twitter, Instagram etc. I just watch Yube Tube and enjoy watching other people's lives and cheer on as others are brave enough to share their lives with us. What life has taught me is that some things that are showcased are not real or do not show all the truth and the other fact is that at my age, 57, how others live no longer matters as long as I have my good health, my pets are healthy and happy, my family is in good health and I take care of my patients at the hospital by taking care of me!!! I used to feel like you when I was your age, compared myself to others and did not feel like I measured up and now when I see that 25 year old me, I see a gorgeous girl/woman with vulnerability who had it all, like you! No need for comparisons, you're doing fantastic Julia! Big hugs and stay safe.🤗🤗

Stop worrying about your future, it’s all layer out for you. It was before you were born. Just live in the now and you’ll see it work as it’s supposed to. Also your channel is great. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather watch then you. You beautiful, your smart( might need a little help making pizza) your funny and just almost perfect.
