I believe he saw the news article about the hotel from the first movie. He must’ve gotten bit by… something or someone infected. And he saw the news flash after that. And he didn’t think it was an infection until he started getting the symptoms. Spike in body temperature, vomiting, delirium, frothing at the mouth, and violent tendencies. He was trying his damndest to save everyone before it was too late. But he didn’t relize he was already in the air. That’s my prediction because this is the first time I’ve seen this and I didn’t know there was a Quarantine 2. Because I thought because of the first one being a direct American version of the original Spanish movie REC that it got mixed reviews for being a copy and it didn’t continue. But Loe and behold I was wrong.
