I rode this a week after it opened and I waited an hour and a half and we went at midnight (extra magic hours) we rode both Pandora rides that night and wait that long for both but the flight of passage (we just call it the banshee ride) is my favorite
@IncrediVentures6 жыл бұрын
Oh boy! An hour and a half doesn’t sound too bad. For that ride. But that’s dedication there. I waited 45 for Na’vi river. I had some time to kill. But it is definitely an awesome ride. I try to go at least once per trip.
@jacobeischreech6 жыл бұрын
The river journey in my opinion is not worth anything over a 40 minute wait. But the Flight of passage is so good I’ve ridden it 5 times now and I’d wait 2 hours for it.

Wesley Barras but the seats move around on both rides, simulating flight. I may not have rode both rides, but I've seen videos like these and I saw that the seats move. That was why I said that this ride reminded me of Soarin.

Do you think that there is a size that will not fit? I’m going for the first time in a month and I am very unsure about this ride
@IncrediVentures5 жыл бұрын
Hi. Sorry for the delay. I think there are sizes that won’t fit. If you’re larger in the midsection or more endowed in the behind then it makes the restraint a little harder to click Bc those are the areas where the restraint is. That’s why it’s so hard to tell for different people. People can be 300 lbs and go on fine. And then people who are 250 and can’t. So it all depends on the person.
@specialspiggle6 жыл бұрын

So glad i found this! I’ve been dying to know how this works! I don’t know if my motion sickness will handle this well. Haha
@IncrediVentures6 жыл бұрын
That I’m not sure. It really depends on how well you handle roller coasters. And VR type things. It’s very immersive. You have to follow the way the camera is telling you to look. The whole room moves so you really feel it. 🤷🏻♀️ if you’re good with roller coasters AND good with VR type games then this should be fine. It’s better than both of those things but that’s really the only thing I can compare it to.

@IncrediVentures Жыл бұрын
Hi. Sorry for the delayed response. Honestly it depends. Like there are some people who are around that that have no issues. Some do. Depending on where the restraints are. Honestly; I’d try it and see. Because, yes if you can’t (which I think you should be fine, I believe I was close to 300 here) it’ll suck to walk off BUT if you can, it’s the best experience in the parks. Also, the cast members really do their best to get the restraints to click.

I did not even get into the Harry Potter game, this situation makes me very sad, I hope you can answer me. Thank you!

It’s pretty clear to me that if it’s that sever of a fear this would be a terrible idea for you.
@IncrediVentures5 жыл бұрын
Honestly if you are her afraid of heights this might not be the ride for you. Because it is very immersive. You fee the drops even though you are stationary and not actually dropping. But it depends on your fear. If you are ok with simulations, knowing it’s not real, then you should be fine. But it’s very realistic. The part of Soarin with the kite over China is the closest I can give you to an idea of what this is like.

I am so glad I found your videos! I think that more perspectives should be given from all aspects of society. Personally at 6'4" I find I dont fit on most of the new rides. Just as a warning to other plus size people, this ride is extremely finicky and I can't figure out the trick to fitting on the ride. I am plus size and I'm about the same size maybe even a bit smaller than the woman in this video and I have tried to ride FoP 7 times and 4 times I got on with absolutely no problem while 3 other times I tried to get on and the cast members told me I couldn't safely fit on the ride and I had to leave. This was all within less than 3 months and sometimes I got and sometimes I didn't, I wasn't losing or gaining any weight and I still have no idea what made me fit some times and not others. But just warning you in case yoiuce ridden it before and then all of a sudden you can't fit it's super weird lol
@IncrediVentures6 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. That’s why I always go with the response of “it depends”. I’ve had similar situations happen where I wasn’t gaining or losing weight and it took a push at one time and not at another. 🤷🏻♀️ it’s definitely is weird. Lol

thanks for posting this! I have a trip scheduled for september and I'm a little concerned about fitting. I'm also short (5'3") and I'm a size 18/20 but my calves are pretty large (19"). I've read a lot of info about the leg restraints not fitting large calves. I was wondering how large your calves are, if you don't mind me asking, and if you think the leg restraints were super tight, or ever an issue for you?
@IncrediVentures6 жыл бұрын
I have been trying to measure my calves and I keep forgetting. But it sounds like you’re smaller than me, and the calves haven’t been an issue really. It’s just been bad feet placement on my part
@kcb-xp8kl6 жыл бұрын
I was also concerned with my calf size (sounds like I'm pretty comparable in size). We went a month ago and I heard a tip of instead of having you foot flat on the bottom, go up on your toes or the balls of your feet. Also scoot all the way forward and dont hunch forward, keep your back straight and you should have no problems! Good luck! :)

At the time of this video I’d say about 283. But then again, it all depends on body type. Someone that is bigger in the booty but weighs less might still have a problem. You can try the seat in front of the entrance to the ride first. If you can get in that, you’re fine.

@incrediventures: How do you think this would be for an athletic and active pregnant woman? I know Disney doesn't recommend it, per say, but I know their concerns about liability are a lot of the issue with many such cautionary tales. Honestly, I just don't see the issue from the video here, because it doesn't look very jarring. Our doctor is pretty modern, and still allows my wife to do a LOT of very active stuff despite her pregnancy, and this looks pretty tame compared to our everyday life out here in Colorado. I guess I'm mostly wondering about how the front pad hits someone, and where. Tons of pressure on her abdomen probably wouldn't be great, but this just doesn't look like a "rough" ride to me (from your video it looks a lot like Soarin', which is an "approved" pregnancy ride). What are your thoughts from experience on this one?
@IncrediVentures6 жыл бұрын
Personally. For no other reason but for the restraint I wouldn’t suggest it. You have to be pressed up against it and then the restraint locks you in. The movement may not be an issue but the restraint would. especially when it comes to the part when Taruk comes and the banshee goes over a bunch of “rhinos”. Those are jerky movements and with the restraint it won’t be good on the abdomen. Soarin is perfect. If this didn’t have the restraint I’d say go for it. Also, you can have her try the seat in the front so she can see how tight it would be on the abdomen. Just in case she would have room.
