What can pilots eat before stepping onboard the plane?

+Megalodon64 in my case I prefer not to eat shortly before sitting at the controls - unless it's a snack bar, a fruit or something very light to settle some hunger before the flight, going for a full meal is in my opinion a risk. Discovering that food poisoning and/or digestion-related pain is on its way while in flight is a chance I prefer not to take!

There is a simple solution to finding actual orientation at a glance. Relying on electronic information is not trustworthy in situations where there is no outside reference source.
