Well, Flight Simulator 2024, is finally works, well kind of I should say, at the start of this video the high quality texture assets were not fully loaded, but near halfway through the video, it all appear to get loaded in (at 06:57) to its high quality settings as I have applied. So do skip ahead a little bit to get a view of the better visuals. In this video, I test out Flight Simulator 2024 on PC at 4K 1440P and 1080P resolutions, I also test with and without frame generation for each resolution. There were a bunch of instances of frame stutter blips, but I can only possibly attribute the game downloading the new texture asset files. Hopefully, in time, they can be reduced and / or eliminated. I will say the game definitely has a much more polished look over the previous Flight Simulator 2020 game that I've played over the past 4 years now, so they certainly did a great job of improving the visuals, and like I said hopefully in time they improve the performance even more. Thank you so much for the vid and for testing different res's w/o frame gen, big man I appreciate it a lot, looks gorgeous in 4K and seems like the scale now is way bigger and better as in that from what you can see up from the sky high, the plane speed movement feels faster and better as in how in racing games when you drive faster and faster it feels and looks faster for you too, but now also here in flying, the plane and below the city, also WOW you can hear the plane's engines above you, too that's awesome, ngl 2:39 . I really hope they'll fix all of the problems

Thanks for checking out the video as you always do. And yeah, in time I'm sure they will fix this title to make it look and run more stable, but I'm just happy I finally got to test it out. With some more time, some patches, and feedback from the community I think this title will be great eventually.

You should reset your frame counter after the change in resolution. Also could you include CPU temp and wattage. Thanks.

@TDucken Check this video here for the other CPU statistics; kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZvWf3-eqa2ah7ssi=_ifSVmLMKwenTuQv Also, do you know what key you press to reset the afterburner stats? I have been wanting to figure that out forever now?

What good is all of that speed if the textures don't even load fast enough? I have a 2070 Super and the textures load ok puttering around in a Cessna in NYC.
@LousWRX6 күн бұрын
@MarcL1313 You do realize this was literally the first time I played this title, right? Of course, the textures data is not loaded because the data is not loaded in my storage yer. If you see my 2nd flight in New York City in the Air Bus A330, you can fully see everything was loaded because the terrain data was cached after my first flight; kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZvWf3-eqa2ah7ssi=fsL0yJsawSBeNu1Q

@ I’m not sure how that works. Sometimes when I fly around London I will see lots of blocky buildings, then the textures load, but when I come back around the buildings are blocky again. You should be able to see good textures the first time you fly by a place, or else it destroys the immersion. Downfall of the cloud server model.
@LousWRX6 күн бұрын
@MarcL1313 It is because the servers are overloaded, so they can only stream so much data through the cloud at once. Also the speed of your internet can also play a role as well.

Have you put your rolling cache up to like 100gb ?
@LousWRX7 күн бұрын
@micsunday14 I'll have to look at my settings, but I think right now is at the unlimited if I recall correctly.
@micsunday147 күн бұрын
@LousWRX I didn't realise you could set it to unlimited. The default is 16gb. A big cache certainly helps if you are flying in the same areas alot.
