Beautiful aircraft. I was flight crew with Pan Am and Delta for a total of 29yrs. When I started in 1977 I worked on the 747 which was an outstanding air plane. If I were starting a career today with aviation I definitely would want to work on a triple 7, what a beautiful plane. Thanks for sharing this great video!

Gabriel, I don't really like to fly - particularly takeoffs and rough weather - but I really enjoy the glimpse into the cockpits, and the calm professionalism of the pilots as seen through your camera lens. It helps with my confidence and my nerves when I board a plane. My son-in-law is a captain for SWA...he and I often discuss matters relating to SWA and aviation in general. I appreciate the dedication displayed by the pilots, crew members and ground and operations personnel. Gotta be in their DNA! KUTGW!

I just had a 777 flight in April with a US carrier. Listen, if Flightradar24 needs positive feed back for videos like this it is easy to hit the thumbs up! A few thinks, it still amazes me that not only are you allowed on the flight deck but you get an in-depth conversation with the crew and of course Gabriel does a great job at that. Plus isn’t it incredible on how much pilots, of such a technically advanced aircraft, rely on iPads of some sort. Thanks - Jim
@richardhingston60736 ай бұрын
The iPads are by far the most modern thing on that flight deck. They've always had a system of some sort, be it paper of a fixed screen. The iPads offer the portable element.

The Boeing 777 is my favourite aircraft and like you mentioned it has the authentic Boeing executed PERFECTEDLY and not too cluttered like the old 737, boxy like the 747. tbh im not that much of an airbus fan but I feel the manual simplicity of the beasty 777 make it better than any airplane no matter how advanced❤

Why captain at 18:07 manually input the speed to 0.82m? I guess the common cruising speed in 777 is 0.84 - 0.86. Was that because of the turbulence making speed go crazy (up/down)? He pressed it when the camera start shaking (I guess turbulence). 22:22 flt control page display showing rudder trim 0.2R - is is set by AP automatically or crew set it because they have right tailwind?
@yannickh34334 ай бұрын
0.82 is turbulence penetration speed for the 777. FMS cruise speed depends on different factors set by the crew. Normally the rudder trim should be 0, it may be very slightly off as the manual trim indicator is just an analog gauge and isn't that precise, but that's acceptable. The autopilot normally only trims the rudder to compensate for thrust asymmetry for example during an engine failure.

Hi Gabe, I had a good time riding w/ you and the pilots in the cockpit. Cool that Etihad permitted it. About "old school", one of the things I like about my 2017 Camry LE (lowest trim level) is the oversized knobs and buttons for climate control/radio/CD player, and that it does NOT have a complicated infotainment menu and stuff like Apple carplay, stuff that I think distracts the driver from the business of *driving*.
