Flown on the A350, awesome experience. Along with B777 and B787, I have an affinity towards these wide body twins. They are simply, a technological marvel. Personally I would like to fly on a B747-8 someday before they went out of service.

A350 all the time! Flew Frankfurt to Tokyo last year with LH 747-8 and back from Osaka to Munich with their A350. The Airbus was a much better experience. The 747 was dirty and worn down and there was a bad air in the cabin the entire flight. On these +10 hour flights you really appreciate the low cabin altitude from the A350.

We recently got to fly D-ABYS (747-8) from CHI to FRA. Great crew/flight despite ORD being a disaster. I think I prefer the 350 as a traveler and the 747 as a AvGeek. We flew the 350 back with BA from LHR to CHI.

Awesome! I’ve caught both of those at ORD on camera. As for the Lufthansa 747, beautiful plane but it’s bittersweet to spot it as I was supposed to fly on that big bird in March 2020, but it got cancelled. Then 2021 got cancelled. And now 2022… :(

Which i can still do somewhat often as most planes that land in FRA make their final turn relatively low, right above the town I live in 👍

Yes, ORD might bei a nightmare. 1 hour Taxi is usual. 747-8 ist a great plane, was flying to Frankfurt am lot. I saw 350 to Munich standing nearby to 747-8 in ORD and was jealous. This plane is a masterpiece.

I flew A350 from Manila to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. It was uneventful flight and like the usual 350's, it has a very modern cabin design with great moonlighting after a meal. Tho the IFE wasn't functioning right that time but all in all an A350 is an A350. Great experience!

747 or A350? I'll take the Airbus. I've been in a 747 once, I've flown in the 777 and the A350 to/from Europe several times. I LOVE the Airbus dorsal and ventral cameras. It's the closest I can get to being on the flight deck (where I'd love to spend the whole flight!). Thanks for these great trips!

Awesome video! I'd go on the 747 just for the fact that it's a rare opportunity nowadays. For the a 350 there will be many opportunities over many years to come on many different airlines. I must say the Cabin Crew is immaculate! Well done. The purple in economy however I'm not a fan of, reminds me of the cheap blue plastic you find in playgrounds equipment. Beautiful aircraft nonetheless.

both A380 and 747 are ETOPS - or to be precise, are beyond ETOPS and can fly everywhere directly except the poles.

For technology and cabin air pressure I prefer the A350. But when sitting in the cabin all depends on the seating - which airline, class, location etc. Hence, for short distance whatever is safe and at time is ok. For long hauls seating becomes no. 1 of priorities.

Who says that? The service ceiling of A350-900 is 43,100 feet. A350-1000 is lower
