I really like how you all kept it authentic with period correct dress. Music and just men sorta mumbling in the background was perfect! This is what men should be doing. Enjoying fun and fellowship with old guns. Good job!

I wish where I lived here in the northeast we had shoots like this. We have matches, but they're line up, straight on matches. They used to do woods walks but as the members age, they tend to be more interested in chunk guns and bench matches. Myself, a good woods walk with a flintlock suits me just fine.

I’m almost 40 and just got my first rifle. I find shooting it to be the most relaxing experience I’ve had lately. I enjoy getting to know how every piece interacts with the other. I want to know it better than the back of my hand. Although our rifles are very different from what’s shown in the video, the feeling is the same. Beautiful video and audio. Keep up the great work!

Flintlock Smooth Bore Turkey Hunt....👍. Great Video. Took my 20 year old to shoot a Hawkens 50 caliber .490 ball. Taught him how to load . Keep passing the Tradition down.

I would have to agree with the few comments I did read. Very well done videos. The background music - excellent - Just some Good Ol' Boys enjoying the woods - telling stories - burnin some powder !!!!
Hey, glad you finally got your rifle! Now we probably won;t see any more videos! ;o)

Your videos are excellent. Precisely these days I'm going to buy a 12-gauge English-style flintlock shotgun. It's a replica made in Spain by A.M.R. A greeting from Spain..

I would really recommend a 20 bore, over a 12. Too much recoil with a 12 if you are going to shoot it much. A single 12 bore has been traded around between shooters in this area for years, because no one can stand to shoot it for very many rounds.

What are the distances of those targets? I love these videos, I am crazy about flintlocks and love to shoot them. I also have plans to move to northwest Montana in about a year and a half from now. So these videos not only show my love for flintlocks but also the scenery of where I will soon live.

I watched with great interest and was / am puzzeled as to why some shots shown had quite a few sparks coming out of the barrel and hitting the ground while others did not. Is that because some are using FF and some FFF black powder, or is trhere another reason? Thanks.

Very nice! Unfortunately I can't help notice when I watch these videos or go to rendezvous, the vast (as in over 95%) of people shooting look to be in their late fifties or much older. Sadly this is one sport that might be facing extinction or at least a dramatic shortage in new participants. I'm only 27 and love to do this stuff and see that you're fairly young, too, so not all hope is lost! :)

We're changing that. I recruit others now and there are a few of us under 40 at least.

@@FolkFirearmsCollective you can count me and my son in here in the northeast. I'm 46, been shooting a muzzleloader since I was 11, he's 13, been shooting one since he was the same age. He's pretty much taken ownership of my Traditions Kentucky Rifle.
