I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this, but It makes me smile every time. A wonderful afternoon captured in time forever,,,,,Ric and Gene laughing, the beautiful Mrs. smiling after a good shot, what good fellowship among friends,,,the astounding level of workmanship of the guns. Thank you.

I just got my first flint lock rifle. It is a kit I assembled from Jim Kibler, it is his woodsruner model. I have had a cap and ball rifle for many years that I put together from a Lyman kit, but I always felt something was missing. Check out Jim Kibler, he makes some really nice kit's that is affordable.

Nobody likes a tease! Every time I see a Kibler SMR I look around the house trying to figure out what I can sell to order one. My son got suspicious when I asked him how much he weighs and then started looking up the number for the French foreign legion.

I would love to have one of your rifles but possess neither the tools nor the skill to build it.
@FolkFirearmsCollective2 ай бұрын
@user-oz1fd1hz9d look for a mentor in your region. Perhaps there’s a gentleman who is willing to instruct. The instructions and online videos also help greatly. If not, there’s many finished Kibler rifles built by people who enjoy building them out there available. I know of gunsmiths who buy them due to the exquisite quality and historical accuracy, and then build them merely for the enjoyment and sell them for the price and their time. Look on muzzleloader forum dot com and longrifle forum dot com among other sites where completed rifles are available.

@@user-oz1fd1hz9d The Woodsrunner or Fowler kits are the latest from Jim and are near "screwdriver" types for assembling, they're that simple.
