Nice Video , thanks for posting . I learned something just from watching your skilled use of the Hand tools . It’s helpful to watch guys with your experience and Skills . It gives us layman the confidence to do it ourselves and it is good to know I can always come back and see how you did certain things . Thanks very much for posting 👍

Aw! This brought back some great memories for me! I still have my rifles. I still have my lodge and my gear. We did a lot of ML & rendezvous in the 60s - 80s in MT, WY areas. I love the sound of the rifles firing. I love the smell of black powder smoke. My dad was Pryor Mtn. Bill and he wrote and illustrated ML building manuals.

Bill was a good friend of mine, we were thick as thieves, talking about guns, food, and the state of the world. He was one of the few people I could talk to about some obscure subjects, as we had a lot of common interests. Never could talk him out of his wall gun! I sure miss him! We could possibly have met down at Deer Lodge years ago.

@@markperrault5678 check your history books, books. That term dates back to the American Revolution when these types of long guns where brought out to withstand British regulars sent to disarm the Colonials at Concord. Come to a shoot here and get an education.

The targets are tiny. Ketchup packages, apples, shoot through a pretzel hole, many diabolical targets. No score keeping, we are there for the fun and the people.

Been waiting on this... Who is the grizzled old gentleman leaving the cabin at 0.44 in the video? I see him at all of the shoots. He amuses me because at the instant after he fires a shot he immediately raises his gun. Little to no followup after the shot. I bet he shoots a good score though.
@waksupi9 күн бұрын
That is Mike, who owns the property we were shooting on. He hits his fair share of targets!

I love watching these videos. It must be getting cold out west, even here in the Adirondacks in the northeast it's still in the 70's. Been out squirrel hunting with a couple of flintlocks, but by 10-11am it's all over because it gets too warm.

Actually what the founding fathers intended Not that ar gatling nonsense
@FolkFirearmsCollective13 күн бұрын
Nah they promoted the ownership of the most sophisticated and technologically advanced weapons ever seen on earth to date. They believed in zero restrictions on advanced weapons for civilians. The weapons they owned were more advanced than those of the occupying British Empire, the most powerful military on the planet at the time. Also, the founders had witnessed tremendous technological improvements in their lives from ignition systems, rifled barrels, and even the development of breech loaders enhancing the speed of loading, moving in towards many of them living to witness the onset of cartridges and more. One thing we know, the founders despised government far more than armed civilians.
