Thank you. I was shocked it stopped at only a little over 2,000W so i checked the spec, it supposed to be able to handle up to 2200W peak so in my mind, you really only get the continuous wattage rating of 2000W. Your vid confirms that too.
@GoingOffGrid1015 ай бұрын
it was fused for 2200w inside, I'm guessing thats that rating.

Now you have a good inverter. Been running them for years with No problems in my camper trailer and Ute. You should have got a bigger unit if you wanted to run more than, 2000W. You're not going to blow it up. Very well protected unit.

Can you flip / re-orient the face of it? In my scenario, I need the battery lugs to be on the right side, but then the lettering and LCD screen would be upside down. Based on what you showed, it looks like you should be able to, unless the ribbon that connects to the LCD wouldn't be long enough?

@@GoingOffGrid101 Man, I'm getting conflicting info. In the 'contact us' chat on Giandel's site they finally responded, but just said 'Hi, the problem you mentioned cannot be solved this way.' It seems like such a no-brainer to have this as an option since it's a selling point. I'm wondering if I should roll the dice to buy one just to try it.

I was considering buying a Giandel inverter to replace my blown up (UN)Reliable unit, but they do not make any 24 volt models. That was one about Reliable. You could just about choose any input voltage you want!

@@GoingOffGrid101 Probably true. The giant sticker on the cover does say 3500 watts and I did pay a bit more for it than the 3000 watt unit. BTW, my unit seldom saw loads of over 1000 watts continuous! It just quietly died.

wondering if it can power gas furnace, or if it is safe to connect neutral to ground/case required by most gas furnace w/o blowing the inverter(most cheap inverter will in such setup). No such information from Amazon product page

16mm² is approx 5 AWG. Doubling up cables reduces AWG size by 3, so 2 x 16mm² = 2 AWG

thank you!
@brianbender343123 күн бұрын
That is good to know. Thanks! So you're sure that the 16mm² rating wasn't for the combined cables? Also, I read an Amazon reviewer on this very product that cut open the cables and he thought they were copper-coated aluminum (not sure how accurate that was or if it's even a concern).

you can hook up a inverter to your 12v battery on the leaf and leave the car running and it will charge the 12v battery at 70 amps, this way you can use up to 500w with your inverter.
