My 2000w version has done its job through over a dozen power outages since last year in August. I`ve used it during five Louisiana heat emergency power outages since June with an Ampere Time battery for a small air conditioner.

Oh nice, so you have experience with this brand. That's good to know, I've never seen them. Thanks!

My 2000w one cost about 175 bucks a year ago. Mine seems very efficient. I haven`t noticed any unexpected losses factoring in only about 5% and using a watt meter to estimate battery remaining but I`ve never ran my big 300ah battery completely dead. I like the fuses too. @@BradCagle

As long as it`s 90 degrees or less I can power my tiny Frigidaire air conditioner at least 24 hours using mine and a 300ah battery. My record is 32 hours but I stopped the test after the watt meter showed 3.4 kwh was used. Voltage was still above 12 under load.@@BradCagle

A little late to the party here but the remote battery is a 21/23 battery. If'n you don't want to wait for Amazon, you can get them at CVS. Remote works very well even without the antenna extended.

My father just bought this for his camper and is adamant that he can wire the shore power and the rest of the camper through it but it doesn't seem like it'll do that like the old one in the camper does. I don't know the first thing about these things though do you have any recommendations for what I'd need for that?

HELP I purchased a MWXNE 1200 Watt Pure Sine Wave inverter to power my furnace which normally takes around 400 watts. When I attempt to run the furnace with the inverter, the motor kicks on but there is no heat and the furnace does not respond to the thermostat. So, I built an extension cord that only has the ground wire prong on both ends as suggested in another video. I plugged this cord into one of the outlets on the inverter and the other end into the ground connection at the furnace outlet. No change, the furnace kicks on, no heat, and after a few minutes it shuts down and does not respond to the thermostat. The inverter is connected to the battery in my Honda CRV using the supplied jumper cables. The inverter output voltage is 113v regardless if the CRV is running or not. With out the inverter the furnace works fine. Any ideas before I return this inverter to Amazon??

Mine only shows voltage and other simple info but not wattage. I use a watt meter to monitor wattage and aprox battery capacity remaining and have had no issues. My 2000w version seems to be very efficient. I`ve used up to 3.4 kwh of the battery`s 3.8 kwh capacity but never drained it completely. Mine came with huge double cables and a remote wired display/controller that I`ve never used. I need a backup though just in case. I have limited solar and a 20amp plug-in charger. Having this stuff has repeatedly saved me from major suffering in the Louisiana heat while my relatives nearby who called me names for getting it had to evacuate to hotel rooms. And they didn`t even check on me after one of the worst storms with 80 mph winds even though I`m disabled, no car, and in a camper. My outlook on humans is at rock bottom at this point.

Thanks, good short and informative evaluation. I use a gopower 2kw pure sinewave inverter , first one lasted about ten years, replaced it with newer version, works well. I have renogy inverters for future use. Which brands do you see with the best quality and ruggedness? Thanks for taking time to answer

Did the efficiency calculations change when considering the watt-meters numbers? its being marketed at 92%. Load curves matter. from what I recall 50% load is best for efficiency peak.
@BradCagle Жыл бұрын
No, the only time the watt meter showed much difference was when the heater was on med. The efficiency calculations were done when the heater was on low.
@pearlrival3124 Жыл бұрын
so to be clear: no change in efficiency? 82% at 50% load. at 100% load more like 82% was maintained? @@BradCagle

17:50 Can you please check and see how much power is being drawn when the inverter is off and no load connected to the USB? Just like to know how much power the USB circuit is drawing since you cannot turn off the power to the USB circuit. My AIMS 2K inverter USB is controlled by the power switch so when power switch is off everything is off. Great BTW.
@BradCagle Жыл бұрын
I'll give it a shot, probably have to run it though my fluke to get a reading. Let you know!

Ok, it's drawing 0.17w with it off, and nothing connected to USB

I have a 1500W inverter (Excelvan brand) Mine has output but if I plug in anything above that uses 600 watts it shuts itself down and the fault light comes on. No blown fuses or anything, If I cycle it off/on its good to go, until I try to plug in or turn something on that uses a lot of watts (i.e. like a small a 600 watt heater) Anyone have any idea what is going on? I used to be able to run things like a table saw or a small AC unit off of this thing before! Now I'm lucky to have a box fan and laptop working. Any ideas?

Probably has some blown components, and it's just limping along.

Input voltage dropping too low? Need good connections and large enough and shortest wires possible
@onlywenilaugh658911 ай бұрын
111 volts seems low for household voltage. Most are around 120 even though 110 was the original voltage, it should be 120 now. I would think an AC inverter would put out at least 155 or above even though 9 volts I guess isn't that much.
