Flipping ship turns 50

The Floating Instrument Platform (FLIP) was designed to "flip" from a horizontal to vertical position to stay afloat allowing scientists to perform oceanographic research in rough seas. CBS News was allowed a tour of the vessel as researchers at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography celebrated FLIP's 50th anniversary.

So silly two of everything... Make a suspending cabin. That stays upright no matter the angle of the ship... Then lock in place when the desired angle is reached. Eg. Rolls royce wheel caps. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
