After viewing tiny homes on wheels, shipping container homes, bus/van conversion homes, to houseboats, this is by far one of the coolest and most unique setup I have ever seen. This guy is very intelligent with a serious vision. I love people’s reactions when the RV hits the water which is worth that kind of attention. If I were to purchase one of these from this guy, I would have him consult with me to flip this into a submergible submarine to give it one more feature and shock value, if that could be done. Imagine having a number of boaters at the middle of the lake and have this RV surface from under water and be fully out of the water and start cruising for land. That would be epic. Another unusual possibility. Thank you for showcasing this.
@mesterjess2 жыл бұрын
I think water pressure is the name of the game with submersibles...like, how deep could it safely go before the windows have too much weight on them or the seals fail? That's the first things I'd want to button up. Definitely an awesome idea though.
@baloog8 Жыл бұрын
You would need to reroute the exhaust and intake, then reinforce the glass and all seals. In addition, you would need more powerful thrusters to compensate for additional resistance especially with such a boxy shape; it would not have meaningful thrust unless you are just viewing a small spot. Either longer with a conical or tapered nose and tail. Or just submerge and back up.

May be its just me, but there is one problem you may encounter. If the boat ramp (in to the water) isn't shallow enough, it will depend on the props to have the grunt to lift the whole weight of the vehicle up the ramp until the back wheels gain purchase. Not a particularly big 'flaw' but definitely big enough to leave u stuck half in and half out if the driver failed to assess the grade correctly. Just a thought.
@grimuk38177 жыл бұрын
I should have mentioned, he already stated that the props and drive shaft are independent, but I am not sure if he is able to run them in tandem (together). He didn't specify. If he can't run both together and is relying on his 'coasting' speed to land him, then he may actually have a big problem...
@kengruz6696 жыл бұрын
This is a general good question: Just because this beast can enter the water, and make its way across the water, does not mean it will will have the proper landing, entrance angle and footing to crawl out of the pond.
@lancomedic6 жыл бұрын
I'm sure that before he enters the water he already knows where he will exit and has assessed the grade of the exit ramp. It's no different than driving any other class A, advance planning is required so you don't get into a situation that you can't get out of.

my friend and i were talking one day that if either one of us won the lottery, of 50 million or more, we would buy a motorhome and just travel where possiable the road leads, but to have one of these would make it so much more fun, because i like water, like fishing, she does too, we would have so much more things to do, i would pay up to 5 million for one of these, with a few add ons, solar panels for the lighting and electrical stuff to eliminate some use of rv battery life, but everything is there including i seen washer dryer, which is so awsome, never have to hunt down a laundry matt, which are becoming rare wow sending this video to my friend right now

The ocean is way too rough once you get out far enough. During windy days there would be a definite risk of sinking. The ocean is larger volume which is the reason for the difference between ocean and lake. It would be scary though if that really happened being that the police would have difficult time. This should work though in certain areas of ocean depending on if it was constructed with sea water capability in the sense of amphibious vehicle which needs to water tight some areas for salt water to protect against damage.

Great idea but I'd scrap the heavy wood and marble inside for composites. This may allow the pontoons to be made smaller or dispensed with altogether. Composites can be made to look like anything but weigh a fraction of the real thing plus they are totally weather proof. Great build though - well done!

40ft by 9ft beam and looks to be a nearly 4ft draft. Trust me this thing has the same displacement of a mid size yacht. The pontoons are merely for stability and offer little bouyancy

I applaud the creative thinking, but the design won't translate to the real world for less than $1 million (if you expect it to withstand the elements over time). Safety is also a significant concern in the event something fails/goes wrong.

Easy fix. Put one of those boxes that are full of like 20 life jackets in case of it sinking. And it is literally a normal rv but it has floats and props and obviously a couple of other modifications. And I’m fairly sure that rv is built to withstand the weather

An accessible upper deck on the outside would make the outdoor on-the-water aspect that much more enjoyable I think. The deck at the back is nice, but it's really not that big. Something up top where you could install folding table and chairs would be a great addition.

We may need to start making these, in mass production. Why? Numerous reasons. First being that what would happen if a Zombie Apocalypse happens? Zombies can't across seas. So why not survive out in the sea? The second reason would be if the event that the world floods, we can use these as our foundations of keeping us people alive. The next reason is its limitless potential to have cheaper travel to other countries. The fourth reason would be a good answer to actually having a nice place to live. The last reason is because of how amazing this is. Look at it. Shall I say more?
