Thanks for this, and the first two videos in this series. And I will be watching the others. Well done. I just bought one of these today and the assembly fun begins tomorrow, made easier with your help ;)

Hi, @ooeybc! Glad you found the videos helpful. Not sure why PA keeps deleting any reviews that mention or link to the videos. As I've mentioned repeatedly in the comments to the assembly video, do your first oil change at about 1.5 to 2 hours of run time. Mine was full of metal particulate. Anyway, enjoy the machine. It is a joy to use, especially if you have used a smaller one. May something unexplainable happen to, or for, you this month!

I have not been able to get three of my bolts out. I am trying a normalsized head in one spot to see if it it gets damaged by protruding too far. I also was shocked by the gouging on the drum . It appears that large limbs may be still resting too close to the drum between blades. Helpful hint abouttrimming down a socket on the lathe. That would help a lot. Great videos.

The new design now has wider wheel stance for better stability. Mine keeps tipping over behind the ATV so I look forward to getting the updated wheel kit. How can we tell when to stop pumping grease? Is there a second grease fitting on the shaft under the belt guard? I disconnected the safety system on the first day because even branches will trigger it.

Hi, @Gojigwr. Yes there is a second fitting under the belt guard. A couple of pumps is all the grease you should need. You will see it coming out around the shaft or it will stop taking grease.

Thanks for the video. Just finished a 10 hour service on mine. I don’t have any drum wear and my blades are still in good shape. One of the nuts holding the muffler guard on has broken loose, the spot weld around the nut broke away. Going to try to get it replaced. Has anyone done an oil change yet? I don’t see a drain plug, may have to pump the oil out.

Hi, @ianpitcher7693. On mine, the 2 oil drain plugs are inconveniently located between the engine and input & output chutes at the bottom of the block. I found it easiest to remove one of the chutes and install a catch pan. Otherwise, the oil runs everywhere. Hope that helps.

just like the blades , the anvilblades need to be very sharp as well , don't forget to check these as well, and to avoid , that your blade is falling in to the machine you use a weldingmagnet , or magnet stick, easyer to keep your hands free to tighten the bolds and mesure the gap between the anvil blade , between the 1/16 to 1/32 of an inch/mm...... its the tickness of a zip tie!! the bigger ones!!

Just bought one. Have used it for a few hours now. The one thing I don’t like is the chute doesn’t rotate. Anyone share this issue and has anyone Mcgivered a solution ?

Hi, @gerryclark4330. I am not a fan of the non-rotating chute, but haven't figured out a way to make it turn, yet. Let me know if you find a solution. Anyway, thanks for watching and for leaving a comment!

What was the torque rating you used on the Bolts for the blades?
@ByTheGraceOfGod316
@ByTheGraceOfGod316 4 ай бұрын
Hi, @jonbarnhard3681. There isn't a specified torque, so I went with "tight as I can get it without snapping it."

Do you foresee any issues with the drum gouging creating holes in the drum? I'm thinking about buying one in the next few days since it is 25% off right now.
@ByTheGraceOfGod316
@ByTheGraceOfGod316 8 ай бұрын
Hi, @MeMyselfAndTouYube . I am hoping not. I have tried to order a replacement drum. I spoke with the product support specialist. The drum is technically available, but out of stock with no clear plan to re-order them anytime soon. You can go into your local PA and ask them to order one, and they will call you, if and when it comes in. Best advice is to check it just before the warranty expires and return it if it is worn out.

Could shred 2 in or a little bigger?
@ByTheGraceOfGod316
@ByTheGraceOfGod316 8 ай бұрын
Hi, @nabillayoun. There is a video on my channel of me chipping a 4" log. Also, in the video of me shredding black walnut branches, I dump a chunk in that is 4" x 6" x ~8". The chipper had no problem eating it.

Hi, @nabillayoun. They are a great home-owner unit. I would not recommend them for commercial use, but for the typical home-owner with a bit of land, they are wonderful.

Just a side note: it is a chipper, not a chipper/shedder. It has no problem with leaves on branches, but it will not shred a lawn full of leaves or flowers.

@ByTheGraceOfGod316
