Absolutely beautiful my friend. You really turned that from an ugly duckling to a gorgeous swan. I will echo what other people have said in the comments. At first when you showed the green and then started putting it on I wasn’t 100% sold BUT wow was I wrong. I’m kind of glad though that you ran out of the green as the black complimented the green so well and with the accents of gold. The legs you made for it was a genius move. Honestly just superb!! Be proud very proud. I think this should sell rather quickly. Good luck and keep us updated if you can when you sell it. Can’t wait for the next video 🙌

So many other furniture restoration/painters here on KZbin neglect the finer details. They paint or stain with drawers and doors in situ - they don't tape off areas - they don't remove hardware for cleaning or repair - they fail to properly clean before and during the process - they neglect the inside of the piece - they fail to seal correctly - worse, they don't use safety gear when it's called for... all of which is cringeworthy, unprofessional and disrespectful of the piece they are working on. They go with a quick paint for a quick profit. But all the pretty paint in the world can't hide that, on closer inspection, their work is shoddy. Yet, here we have a person who clearly knows what they are doing and is willing to share their process. It's great to witness! I heartily dislike the green and would have preferred a red or navy, but that's just personal taste. Well done sir - despite your denial, you are in fact 'a magician'. Thank you for your generosity in uploading this.

I watched my Dad in his workshop for many years, observing him quietly until he would raise his head from his work and tell me he was ready for questions... I didn't understand it as a child but his improvisational abilities were a natural outcropping of a creative and seeking mind. It is one of the greatest joys of my life to remember these events and appreciate the practical application of his skills, experience and strong internal drive. Your videos put me in mind of this. Do you train apprentices or have another, less formal, assistant-ship? Just wondering.
