so there might be no term called as 'zero' gravity , as an object is always under and influence of some other planet/star gravitational field , isn't it ?
@carultch3 жыл бұрын
There are points where gravity locally adds up to zero, because it is at a specific point between all sources of gravity. The term "zero gravity" is really more like "zero constraint", because the weightlessness is really due to your environment accelerating along with the gravitational field, which nullifies your experience of the force of gravity. You can't really feel gravity, you feel constraint forces.

We will also feel weightless when we are at the center of earth as "r"(distance between center of earth and the object) becomes zero

True, however, that is a rare occurrence.

In this case there is no Normal force acting on the body Am I right? Btw Great video as always and you deserve more views.

So weightlessness of the object is the state when the normal force on the object is zero. This makes sense. :)
@FlippingPhysics4 жыл бұрын
Very close. _Apparent_ weightlessness is when the normal force on an object equals zero.
@BanValsimot4 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, it is apparent weightlessness indeed :/ .Thank you for the correction :))

No worries. More of a "clarification" than a "correction". 😇
