I watched about half of the JJF doc. It's great. I'll finish it later this weekend. Awesome work as usual.

Good to see you Steve. I cannot remember if you spoke about the release of JJF on the last video. If you did I completely forgot to watch it. I will do so this weekend sometime. Finding free time lately has been tough. Way too much going on with working two jobs and taking care of my mom. I think I did see some of Grand Theft Parsons. I remember Johnny Knoxville dressing up as a doctor to take GP out of the hospital. >< Wow. I thought The Clash set a record for number of shows at one venue 'Bonds in 1981' with seventeen. Petty did twenty shows at the F West? Crazy. I only saw him once live and that was 1978 at the Orpheum in Boston. I would love to hear them do Skynyrd's 'Call Me the Breeze'. I bet they do a killer version. I still can't believe that he is gone. >< Always a pleasure seeing you back and doing a vinyl update. Missed you brother. Hope you and your wife are doing better than ever. I will be in touch~ Rob/Boston

Hey Rob, sorry to hear you got to assist Mom. I know that feeling. Working hard I see. Yes JJF was about a month ago....enjoy, I know you will!! It opened my eyes more on the Studio cut, and I really feel folks stopped sharing the love of it. Grand T Parsons was really good, and Knox did a good job. The Sweet Thursday is an easy listen and so well done. I forgot the tune....might be the 10 min long one....but they use a Fuzz Bass, the same one Bill played in Child of The Moon. Yea, 20 nights. The insert describes a lot of the Petty decision and reasons for doing that Fillmore gig. I will say, I have not heard such a great LIVE album like that in while. I wanted to sample so many of the tunes. CMTBreeze is just fantastic. Always a pleasure brother! yes, be in touch!! cheers

Thanks for great informative content. Jumpin Jack Flash doc was so informative that I will watch it again one day. Jimi’s All along version has been my musical lightbouy through my entire life. The vibraslap sound, mysterious rattle snake, sound of the danger, sound of the jungle, been played by drunken rolling stone was new information. By the way, I found my way out of there.

Here’s an interesting connection between two of the albums you showed: “The Stories We Could Tell” (written by John Sebastian) was covered by Petty and the HBs in the early days. I think it’s on the Playback box.

I do not remember Petty doing it, but it is on his 85 Live album and studio cut..... just now gave a listen......and it is sooooooo good! thanks for sharing that!

The two channel recommendations were much appreciated Steve. Thanks Bud.... Marshall got a channel about my fav label of all time huh. Cool... I always been a big fan of the early Everly Brothers I'll check that album out. That side six on that Tom Petty album looked like something I'd really dig... Cheers Steve.

Hey Mr G! cool that you will check out the channels.....then again, you and I just want to absorb as much as we can! Enjoy it! I really do not know how many folks will seek these, which is sad......it is such a treat to get these opportunities put right into our laps! You will enjoy the Everly! That entire Petty album is so killer and powerful. I did not mention, but when they do sound checks, they play these cover songs, but know fans just want hits at showtime. So they brought these out at these gigs. The Hooker stuff is unfriggin cool!! I am so glad you commented on it.....wished others would!! cheers my friend!!!

Re Stories We Could Tell, I went to Wikipedia but, aside from listing the musicians, the only information they had was that Ry Cooder played the electric bottleneck guitar on Green River and Del Rio Dan. That looks like a great album though.

Mate how do you do this. JJF is an awesome doc - thanks I've been turning around plenty of musos to watch and learn from this and your making of docs. Some are guitarists, multi instrumentalists, song writers, producers etc etc. They think the Stones are a relic - then they watch these. It's some very rare and very informative material you've unearthed. I've read plenty on the Stones but it's always pretty bland and sanitised - but it's the musicology of the Stones which is almost esoteric and dark arts plus being children of the blues as we are children of the Stones Do you remember Mick and Keith bestowing on Jack White a heavy legacy and secrets of the blues. And look how Jack White has taken off from there. 3 bands, vinyl record business, producing and supporting other bands plus touring and writing and jamming etc etc. Did they take him on the right course through the crossroads? Seems like I've been defending the Stones since I heard Little Red Rooster as a five year old. And as Mick said ' those of you who took the piss the joke is on you. I noticed Chuck on your home page. I'm sure you know Hail Hail Rock'n'roll has two 'special editions'. One has an extra 2 hours footage and the other 4 hours extra footage. I've got the two hour one. The director was an awesome dude - and calm. Chuck, however, was trouble. Wanting to sign a new contract everyday for more money. Disappearing. Losing his voice. Hitting on the wrong women. Extraordinary

nice seeing this from a fan. As a fan like you I am always looking. Looking for more to hear and see and especially learn. A few years ago I saw some YT folks rate some Stones albums and then also watched docs on them. I got so fed up being a fan and seeing folks rip their music, not know anything about them and read off of websites. So to answer, this is how I do this....to shut these folks up and get something out fans need to see and learn. Thanks for sharing your info. I did not know there was 4 hours of extra for Hail Hail. I will look into that. Enjoy these, and I am working on a new one as I write. cheers

Hi Steve! How've you been doing man? 😊💖🎶 Do you have any new documentaries coming soon? I really enjoy your work. As for myself, I am doing alright. But I must say that obtaining my muzik publishing royalties is easier said then done. I mean Sony Music is licensing my music on my KZbin Channel. I'm flattered, but it would be nice if Sony Music made me aware of the that. They just took my music and licensed it without even letting me know. 😁 I can't wait to see your new doc
