Capac getting hit by lightning must be the best start of a game session ever. BLAMMO! Pants are on fire.

Splitsie, you're going to love the update this week. They shifted _all_ of the ammunition to use a new intermediate, bullet casings. You can get 5 bullet casings per bar of iron ingots. Buckshot still requires a bit of copper, but it's 5 copper nails (half an ingot) per shell rather than a whole bar of copper each. So buckshot went from 1 Copper each to 0.2 Iron and 0.5 Copper each. Much less painful to produce. Rifle rounds now cost 1/5th as much iron, but twice as much sulfur and charcoal (or fertilizer) due to needing 2 gunpowder each now.

3 rabbits huh? Most of the world would call that a Colony, here in Canada we call that a Fluffle. Maybe Farmermaru should have planted a field of Carrots to attract them all.

If you break wood down in the carpenters bench to sticks you can make way more biofuel per wood. Since your forest is getting so far away.

Splitsie clearly needed a Holy hand grenade of Antioch and he could have finished the rabbit hunt on the count of three. :)

Yes, the rabbits must have been carnivorous and very dangerous to warrant a hard mission

For those hunting missions: I find that once you kill all the target creatures in the highlighted zone, if you leave the zone (usually a grid square away or further) and come back, they'll respawn in small packs. Rinse & repeat. It's not always the best/entertaining solution, but at least I'm not spending 3 in-game days hunting 50 rabbits. Love the content!

One of the best examples of a 'realistic' health bar in games is in the uncharted series. It only takes one bullet to kill Drake and the increasing indicator of 'damage' as the screen darkens is actually representative of near misses and his luck running out. Edit: ‘representative’ was auto corrected to ‘reprehensive’

The ramp is looking pretty good, might need some standing torches to light it up at night, even with the half walls I can see Capac plummeting to his death... Not that it wouldn't be side splittingly hilarious if he did. Also, are you going to keep some of the area underneath the ramp accessible? Perhaps through a door? It would make a good storage area, if you ever have an over flow of stuff.

Honestly, neither the iron or hydroponic crop plots are even remotely worth it. Both provide you the same base growth rate and yield as the wood crop plot. The iron ones literally aren't even an upgrade until you get the water pump, and then they're just a stupidly resource-intensive way of forcing you to babysit your crop plots 50% more often. The power consumption and astronomical resource cost of the hydroponics ones only adds another 50% speed on top of that. Seriously, you get the exact same output per time, for a fraction of the resources, by simply doubling the number of wood crop plots, and you only have to check them half as often compared to the hydroponics. Also, for that matter, watering them isn't all that terribly necessary. Again, just a 50% growth speed gain, and rather than piping to each one and setting up a pump and electricity for it, or hand-watering, just add more crop plots. You don't even really need _that_ much space for them, since they only take up a quarter of a tile each. I have a 3x8 tile area with 84 plots in it, which gives me 5 plots of each of the 12 types of veggies, 16 for wheat (you need a fair amount of flour for end-game foods, and wheat is 10:1 to flour), and then a handful for extra herbs and such that I occasionally use for tonics or drinks. I don't water any of them (except for when it rains), I don't even fertilize them for the most part, and they still grow way faster than I really need for funding my advanced foods, with a lot left over for feeding my animals and such. Basically, rather than using the super resource-intensive higher tier plots, and the labor-intensive watering and fertilizing and such, just throw a bit of extra sulfur at the problem and make more crop plots. Don't have to harvest them as often, still get tons of crops per time period, and you don't have to go water every single crop plot every 10 minutes by hand. Oh, also highly recommend crafting a Flashlight. It's basically just a better, infinite duration biofuel lamp. I also recommend using it from your hotbar (rather than your L slot) to look around caves (and at night) to see ore deposits you missed and such, since using it from the hotbar makes it a nice stable beam that actually points directly where you're looking. The biofuel lamp and flashlight are honestly really bad from the L slot, because they bounce all over the place, won't really point upwards at all, they turn off entirely when aiming down the sights, and just generally fail to illuminate stuff well. Instead, you can grab a Lantern (tier 2). It's cheap and works the same way as the biofuel lamp (refilled in the biofuel composter), but _unlike_ the biofuel lamp, the lantern is an _ambient_ light, similar to the torch (but longer range, and lasting quite a bit longer), rather than the directional light of the biofuel lamp and flashlight. That lets you have an ambient light in your L slot for being able to see deposits you're mining and such, and then a directional light on your hotbar for looking around the caves and such. Flashlights are also pretty cheap, just 2 electronics and a few glass and aluminum ingots, and they never need to be refueled or repaired, they just last forever. I also highly recommend keeping a few wood ramps on your person when going into caves. They're ridiculously handy for getting up to deposits and such, and they're only half a kilo each. I usually keep at least 2-4 on me at a time for getting around caves, and also getting up (or down) cliffs I don't feel like going around. Oh, and if you're not already, make sure you keep some iron ore and gold ore laying around unsmelted, since Composites are made from the ores rather than the smelted ingots (you can also use platinum ore rather than gold ore for them, but gold is easier to find and can be deep drilled, while platinum cannot). Edit: oh, and while resources for T4 stuff are obviously still a pinch, I recommend picking up the advanced alterations bench as soon as you can (and as soon as one of the two of you has the points to grab it and the attachments on the tech tree). It adds a second tier of all of the basic alternations that roughly doubles their benefits, plus a number of additional attachments that are only available in the advanced bench. Some of the tier 2 upgrades cost carbon fiber, but usually only 1 each, and they can have some seriously powerful effect. Ex. giving your rifle 60% zoom when aiming, +35% crit damage, and +35% damage damage to hardened points (which, on that note, the hardened damage bonus is misleading. It's additive with the default -75% penalty against hardened points, so +35% reduces the penalty to only -40%, which is actually +140% (ie. 2.4x as much damage) damage hardened points like crocodiles). There's also notably an alteration that can greatly reduce the spread of the shotgun shells, while also increasing their critical damage modifier, making it fantastic for things like shooting charging bears right in the face. Edit 2: aren't those a pair of rivers between the two smaller lakes in the south-western section of the forest biome you're in? It's be a loooong wire to run back to your base, and you have to go down and clean out the water wheels every 3 hours to keep them running, but it's an option for power.

Plz consider adding the copper/platinum/gold attachments to your picks before you go on specific trips. I believe it’s +25% yield so very handy, especially for copper given the shear amount needed.
