Hi bro, thanks for detailed video of how to setup our Mini Fsesc4.20, it definitely helps many people .🤞

No problem at all, glad to be of help. I have just seen that Frank Drenckhahn has declared this information t be incorrect! Do you know if this is the case? To be honest I am running these speed controllers on a number of projects without any issues.

Dear @Droidbuilders UK, please, tell me how did you make "Y" - control both motors forward and backward and "X" - control turn left and turn right?

Hi Lee, j am having the flipsky 75100 for my e scooter, it works all fine till i brake, it seems it makes a lot of cutsoff while braking. Accelerating is smootli, braking toggeling, i dont know how to explain, for me its cutting because its reaches the 85 max regen amp. but i wont set it higher. i think its schould break smoothly in every setti g, and not making cut offs. greatings from italy

Hello , How to connect this VESC to Brushed DC motor, is it work well?

I bought a Motenergy me-1306, 12KW brushless DC. Does Flipsky make a controller that will drive it?

Can this be used to control the speed of a kayak trolling motor? Thank you for the very informative video!

I'm not sure I'm afraid but maybe affordable enough to give it a try and let us know if it works! Lee

Hi, this is one of the best videos so far. Great job! What remote and receiver are you using? Are they standard 2.4Ghz or something else? Is the receiver analog, servo or digital? I would like to get the same one. What cables need to be connected for the remote to setup and work? Sorry for all the questions but i really like what you are doing! THANKS

Ray , its a Spectrum DX9 transmitter that is digital with DSM2/DSMX protocol running on 2.4GHz

Hi, Lee! Thanks for making this, it was super helpful, especially with the current stock shortage on RoboteQ's controllers. Did I follow correctly that the remote control you're using is doing the tank mixing? Is there a way to get the VESCs to do tank mixing? Or would one need a separate tank mixer if one was using something like a Stealth controller that doesn't do the mixing on its own?
@shakesc2 жыл бұрын
Davyd, not sure its a complete answer but I've used Spectrum transmitters for both 2 stick and 1 stick RC vehicle control using the mixing in the transmitter itself - just depends on how you prefer driving but no separate tank mixer was required
@davydatwood31582 жыл бұрын
@@shakesc Yeah, I know there are transmitters that can do tank mixing. I'm going to be using Stealth, though, which doesn't, and I'm trying to figure out if the VESC can do the mixing. Because the VESC looks easier than the ODrive, but if ODrive does tank mixing and VESC doesn't, then ODrive starts looking better.

The Roboteq controllers uses Molex Micro Fit 3.0 connector, not the JST like you show here.

Admittedly I was showing the SBL2360 but the SBL1360s I used do take JST.

I will add a comment in to avoid any confusion: Flipsky and the VESC-project are not linked entities. The VESC-Project is run by Mr. Vedder, original hardware sold by Trampaboards LTD. Please also consider to donate to Vedder, so that the software can actually be developed further. Third parties do not sponsor the software development! The hard work is all in the software! The setup shown in the video is terribly wrong. Y-PPM wiring should not be done, since that will create a ground loop in between the two controllers. Such loops can and will kill the ESCs. Always use Opto decouplers in between the ESC and the receiver, so that GND is not shared. The reciever can only get power from one source and the other devices need an opto decoupler on the PPM line.

HI Frank. Thank you for the information! I am running a number of setups using this method without any problems, although I am not saying you're wrong. Could you share a link to a suitable 'Opto Decoupler' so to help other out? Cheers! Lee
@frankdrenckhahn95212 жыл бұрын
@@DroidbuildersUK they might survive it for a while, especially if it is an older HW 4.xx based design. However, it should not be done this way. For good Opto decouplers I would also need to do some research. Best is to use CAN anyway.
