The lion king itself is a copy of Kimba from the Japanese animated series. Lord Krishna’s story is that he is hidden as a baby in a small village amongst simple people. His baby escape is also across water. Once he is older , he come back to kill his evil uncle and reclaim the kingdom and also releasing his parents who were kept in jail for several years. That is not the lion king , it is lord Krishna. Also, rest of characters are mahabharat inspired like Duryodhana and cousins conflict for kingdom. So sad that Indians are diluting Bahubali by saying it is inspired by newer western movies.

Some people say, they made the barbarians look darker, which is racist. But there a couple of reasons for that. According to the story, it's a northern kingdom getting attacked by a southern tribe and South Indian people are a darker than North Indians. Then also there's the thing that barbarian tribes that live tough life will get a bit darker. If you don't take care of skin to that level and keep clean, then also skin becomes darker. Just take Bahubali's lover for example. She looked darker due to the tough warrior life she lived, but after (well actually this ones pretty ridiculous) Bahubali cleaned her she became lighter skinned. Then also there's Bahubali's mother who has to suffer a lot, in part 2 you will see she is lighter skinned as a princess. So that's why they made the Barbarians look dark.
