Note how the 3 phases align well with Lewis’s model: Unfreeze-Move toward Change-ReFreeze… The message is relatively the same, the packaging is what differs.

The title of the article that John Kotter wrote in 1995 was "Leading Change: Why Transformation Efforts Fail". In which he mentioned, Error 1: "Not Establishing a Great Enough Sense of Urgency", Error 2: Not creating ... Error 3: Lacking a vision and so on. I personally prefer this pre-mortem like approach to the "positive" thinking one. In other words, use any model you like but pay attention to Kotter's - negatives.

@LD-wf2yt Thank you for your response. You are absolutely right. If too little is done in each of the 8 steps, the change will fail. Like you, I would recommend that everyone read the 1995 article before making a major change in their organization. It lists the biggest pitfalls in each of the 8 steps of the model. Thank you for your opinion about our film. Here is our explanation of the small prints. We want the whole model to be visible at all times. It makes the prints smaller. We could have prioritized the other way around, but then we lose the overview. I hope you can accept our choice.
