Thanks I appreciate it! It was a lot of work but it’s either get stuck there in the thick of where there’s tons of grizzlies or just get things done and get out of there haha. The rest of the series is pretty dang exciting I can promise you that (it’ll just take a bit for me to get all the video edited and uploaded😬)

looks like a great hunt... on your boat,,, how tough is the bottom. can it handle scrapping over rocks? have you had any issues with the boat? I was looking at this one or the Legend.
@NewDivideOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Love it. It’s fairly heavy duty pvc material that can take a beating. The thing that I love about it that really sets it apart is the separate air chambers in case of a puncture it will allow you to get to shore without losing anything or sinking.

Pristine ventures pioneer x-stream. I’ve rented them but decided to just buy my own since I use them often. They’re out of Fairbanks but ship to other places for rental pickup.

Great watch, all 6 parts. What outfitter did you hire?
@NewDivideOutdoors15 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! No outfitter, done 100% on our own from the research, scouting, planning to the actual hunt. Only thing we didn’t do ourselves was fly the planes to drop us off and pick us up. Hired an air taxi, which is not a big game transporter, where exactly to take us and pick us up.
@jeffhawkins119114 күн бұрын
Impressed with your planning. So you had no clue if any other hunters would be on that lake?
@NewDivideOutdoors14 күн бұрын
@@jeffhawkins1191 I didn’t know for sure but had an idea we would probably have it to ourselves from talks with bio’s and past filed hunt reports.

Do you guys recommend floating in waders or is it too dangerous?
@NewDivideOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I think a lot of it depends on the class river/terrain you’re hunting. For where we moose hunt I’m not gonna pass on waders as just about everything is muskeg or the river. Contrary to belief if you dunk yourself in your waders they won’t completely fill up and sink you but they can hinder you if you’re trying to swim to shore. For the brooks it would depend on what river I was floating. North brooks, probably not wear waders, south brooks yes/no depending on what areas I’m floating through.
@GreenFields-7777 Жыл бұрын
North Brooks - Ivishack river. Thoughts? Thank you very much for your reply. I am watching all your videos, really well done.
@NewDivideOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@GreenFields-7777 my limited knowledge of that river I would pass on waders if it were me.
@GreenFields-7777 Жыл бұрын
We floated out about 50 miles on the Ivishack river. I’m glad I had my waders for wind and rain and also dragging the boats. We had inflatable life vests if we fell in. I also hunted in my waders the whole time because of the amount of water everywhere. Used my wading boots.
@garytellep5392 Жыл бұрын
Your floatplane pilot couldn't drop you off somewheres on that river and avoid all that bushwacking to get to it?
@NewDivideOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I wish! Took a lot of pre planning and a scouting flight in the summer to find a place we could put a float plane cause the river is too dangerous for floats.
