When my Dad worked for McKinnon in Syracuse he would often fly up to the Adirondack's to the various lakes. He once told me all a pilot really needs is a Cub on floats, a nice lake and a dog. After seeing this video I think he was right.

Thanks for sharing this jewel. My family were float plane flyers in this neck of the woods. If you don't know who the late "Bus" Bird was, you're missing out on some Adirondack flying lore. Cousin still flys out of Raquette lake, and I'm super happy he's continuing the tradition.

Fantastic Video. There is a U.K. Piper pilot with that modified his Aircraft because he lost the use of his Legs . You guy's should invite him along. He went up with a guy in Scotland and got stick time in his float plane. He's lots of fun.😁and a fellow You Tuber . His name escapes me. Sorry
