Awesome to see it. I have the ADV Pro. It's an awesome board, will definitely be putting the upgraded BMS etc. in it. A bit heavy and was a little difficult to purchase, but makes up for it in power. It was well worth not supporting a trashy company like Future Motion and their anti right to repair capades either way. Also, FM spamming patents/law suits pretending they were the original creators - they weren't, it's a huge turn off. Great update, cheers!

Adv are stronger than Onewheels but I prefer a powerful EUC like The Lynx .. under 30 mph you can't overpower it by leaning hard or slower off-roading on steep terrain, with Onewheels you're constantly focused on how to adapt to the terrain so you don't nosedive

Although it’s obvious the V1 Float led to the gts as a response from FM, it seems no one wants to wager that the V2 will lead to another response of something even better. Competition is where it’s at. Don’t hate, celebrate. 🎉😂 FM can easily make the gts faster with more battery life and anything else Tony adds to V2V3V4….and beyond. Will they? Let’s see, I hope so. Paid full price before the price drop and now have almost 6000 miles on a gts with one problem, rapid charger stopped working. They sent me one for free really fast no charge, not even shipping. Customer service has been great for me, don’t know about others so I won’t generalize. I just bought another gts for $1600 brand new. Yeah, probably gonna hate that haters, but right time right place so now I have two. Would I buy an adv2? Yep. But after all the issues with V1, still a great ride imo, you know I’m gonna wait till the first batches go out so that y’all can Guinea pig that shit first. I respect what Tony has done but one dude in china vs a legitimate US company is still not apples to apples. My dude is still waiting on stuff for his adv1 that he was told he was getting in march. Can’t wait till I get my Mach 1 from Radium in January if the new expected delivery date holds true. Ride everything. Ride always. Ride on.

The thing about putting ATF into the hub motor for coolant is true, and it should be perfectly safe. However, it should be noted that this will not be an active heat exchange. It's not like you're going to be adding ATF to cool the motor when it's hot. And the fluid is not going to be pumped out, cooled and then pumped back in (although there is a different company working on that technology). Rather you will add ATF to the hub motor and it will stay in there full time. The oil will help absorb some of the thermal load from the stator. And yes they are putting actual automatic transmission fluid, like from a car, into the electric hub motor. In the past the onewheel and vesc community has been using ferrofluid to help keep the stator cool. What the ferrofluid did was close the air gap between the stator and the magnets on the rotor, allowing for a faster heat transfer between the two components. The problem with doing that is since there are no temperature sensors on the rotor, they are all on the stator, we had no idea how hot the rotor was getting. We actually started running into issues with the epoxy that holds the magnets in place deteriorating from the heat. The thought with the ATF oil is that it should be able to absorb some of the thermal load and help regulate heat in the motor without accidentally cooking the rotor magnet epoxy. If you push the motor hard enough for long enough, it will overheat eventually, we're just trying to look at ways to stave off that eventuality.

love your review, but "smart bms" is not new to the community, maybe the off the shelf consumer market, ive had them in my packs for years (for the exact reasons you outline). maybe i misunderstood and you meant that the smart bms is feeding data into the vesc controller about the cells? that would be interesting in the vesc world :). in any case float on my friend 🤙 ( i run p42a molicel cells in the skates ; but samsung 50s seems like it has good capacity, and i generally trust samsung as a fab, so id say you are on the mark in your range vs amps assessment :>)

I love my ADV but there’s some incorrect info. Mine has always gotten around 25 miles or so and seems like that’s about average for most, and my top speed currently is 26.4 and there was still more left for sure. I wouldn’t doubt it could hit 30 but I don’t need all that. Still super rad that they’ve improved what’s one of the best boards on the market even more
