I ran my first marathon in October. Trying to break 4 hours and hopefully around 3:30 by October of this year at St. George. The cold, dark, brutal morning runs have been intense, but I've been putting in the WORK. Thanks for the continued motivation, Floberg. So excited to watch through this series and be inspired by you through my training.

I started running in March last year and set BQ goal. I hit just shy of that on October at Columbus running 2:56:26. I then broke my ankle recently slipping on ice and in recovery. New goal for the year, sub 3:30 marathon. Let's stay focus and get it! I believe in you and thanks for the videos and motivation you give to us all.

Excited for this race! Word to the wise - there’s no point eating “clean” / whole foods if it’s causing you to under fuel in calories and causing stomach issues. Whole and clean foods and notoriously fibrous meaning they fill you up quicker and are more likely to upset your GI. Chocolate bars aren’t the enemy when you’re running 90 mile weeks! :)

Love winter runs myself, summer is disgustingly hot and humid in Japan so the struggle here is getting out in June-September. Get after that 2:29 Eric! Aiming to break 3 myself this year (ran my first 90min half marathon last weekend)

Excited for the new series, LFG, but also I have been super curious….I remember watching the 2:50 build series, and I remember how much of a toll the high mileage weeks put on you, your wife, your job, etc. You said in one of those videos that there was no way to have another build like that one with that much time commitment. But here you are successfully on your 4th build since then with much faster goal times. So I’m wondering what changed? How did you figure out how to make it all work? I’m not a marathoner but I am an active person with a full time job and two kids, and I want to find ways for myself AND my wife to find more time to do the activities we want to focus on. Hoping for any ideas or advice, and excited to see what you can do at such an interesting sounding race format! ✌️

I Can’t emphasise enough what Clark said about calories. You need AT LEAST maintenance every day Eric. Eat back the calories you burn on those hard sessions. You’re not just eating to recover but also fuel for the next session. Add glutamine to G1M while you run, that amino acid is the one that gets used the most while running hard

Instead of saying, "I have to run before work," I now say, "I get to run before work." The mornings in California are not as cold as those in Chicago, but it is still challenging to get going. Heck yes. That perspective change is everything. The fact that we're not injured and we get to train is something we often take for granted. Many who are injured look at what we're doing longingly while we battle to step out the door.
