I’m a 45yr old man now, skateboarded since 1986. Fucking randomly, After a few drinks I got on KZbin to see what ever happened to one of my favorite skateboarders named Matt Hensley. Watched a short two part interview involving him. Fucking Blown away man. I worked at, then eventually ran a bar in downstate Illinois for 15yrs. I was our speaker for the Great Guinness Toast of 2007. After we eventually discovered this song it became a tradition to play it once a year for the occasion. Its only now as of Friday January 15, 2021, 2:58am that this rabbit hole of KZbin experience led me to great happiness. My favorite skater is a member of an absolutely amazing band we’ve listened to for years. Matt Hensley I applaud you. In an ironic twist, my girlfriends son has wanted to learn how to skate. Yesterday evening I went to our local skate shop to price out a complete for him. Then I came home with a remastered copy of Tony Hawk 1 and 2 for the PS4 . Weird timing, amazing timing. I actually told her son nobody during my skate period could Ollie as high as you, let alone pull off crazy shit. You’ve never been forgotten, always talked about how rad it was to watch those H-Street videos before we all went out to skate. Full circle man. Now I sound like some crazy stepdad typing an old teen love letter. Best wishes man!

Got my skateboard back in the late 2000s. After that, I learned to live, film, explore... Almost got a Student Oscar, skated my heart out, found myself, and put a lot of things on pause-including skating. But I'm still embracing life as a punk and an artist. Life is ahead, life is behind, but this song has stayed with me through it all. It helped me grow up and realize some things as I kept coming back to it.
