From the little I have seen, I can't say I'm too impressed. He relies too much on his athleticism and isn't very technical (not including his takedown knowledge). Both matches I saw, his opponents were beyond him technically. P.S. Found out he's from Atos AKA Galvao's. Makes sense.

@@kingwilly8041 It's easy to criticize when you don't know much. He is a world class BJJ practitioner from a very young age. You need to understand BJJ to see his caliber. Everything in KZbin. Watch him on the no I competitions....you can see his strength clearly. The Gi is too slow, and it's hard for some ppl to see the set ups and the finishes.

As a judoka, it’s weird to see them not get stood up and asked to neaten up their gi’s but honestly I’m conflicted. On one hand they should be stood up and asked to do their belt and such as it would make things more fair from a gi stand point; they have the same gi setup. On the other hand I kinda like the idea of not having them stood up to fix their gi’s as this would ruin the flow of the fight and some people might intentionally pull their gi out to get out of a bad situation maybe. Lotta things to consider and a fantastic fight nonetheless. Never really liked ground work before I watched this but honestly I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and, even though I’m terrible on the ground, I was still able to appreciate the intricacies of what each player was trying to do. Fantastic work, can’t wait to see where the IBJJF goes in years to come.
