I know it didn't seem like much, but I took another commenters advice and am leaving my Kindle playing am night so that it automatically moves from video to video, and plays the commercials in their entirety so that you can get the ad revenue money. I've also recommended your channel to some friends who subscribed, and either have or will be making donations, especially ad the end of the year. Thank you for introducing us to your life's work. I only wish that I had discovered this world while I was will a young globetrotter! I would have volunteered in a heartbeat.

All the people at VMF are to be applauded for all that they do to help preserve this species and return the orphans to living in the bush in troops. You have managed to hang in there during this pandemic despite all the challenges thrown at you. I will be making an additional donation today to help out the only way I can. I encourage all the other supporters of VMF to dig deep if possible and send a little something extra their way. If you are not already a subscriber please consider becoming one. It is wonderful to get to see the new videos early.

I have to be honest, I didn't think I would watch this channel once Kyle had left...but, I really enjoy your narration on everything. I had been wondering why all of the tiny babies looked male... You take us places and you throw in little tricks to raising infants (human babies take liquid medicine better when almost asleep)...Dave, your voice (I am told) is soothing and comforting...I know I have watched older views until I fall asleep so it must be true...I just want to thank you for pulling all of this onto your already full plate. Thanks to all of the workers for taking the time to shoot video. Thanks to the rest of the workers for doing everything. It is appreciated that you clean up, cut up food, fetching water, cleaning cages and everywhere else. I appreciate all that the staff are doing to help these little Vervets out...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Cup Cake is adorable! Makes me want to have a baby monkey but all babies grow up and what is true of all critters, they become independent and most can be more aggresive. I love than you take these little ones, get them healthy, find them a foster mom and then release them into a suitable troup where they can be what the are. Monkeys. Great work!

Dark hair gone home and no longer does the video's, scratching fast is normally an iiritant fleas or chemical

I love the vocalizations that the monkeys make. You can only wonder what is going through their minds. What has happened to their world that has been turned totally upside down. Where are their friends? Where is mom? Where is their troop? I know you cannot let us hear them all, but I always like to hear as much as you can let us hear. Again, thank you for the closed captioning. Without it I would only be able to hear a word or two now and then.Sometimes there is conversation that is not appearing on the screen, but I sure appreciate all that you do show on the screen. Thank everyone of you for all the effort you put into helping the vervets. I have been watching from the earliest videos and have finally caught up to the current season.

Cupcake definitely knows that that top opens somehow, she just needs to figure out how! Its a bit amazing what monkeys figure out so quickly, You can tell by how she is moving about Folki, even their first out of cage time, that she knows something is not 100% with him and has seemingly identified that its the backend that has the issues so he is hugging and hanging out about his face. She also seems to realize that he is not getting around perfectly and can't go too far and is hanging just where she is making some body contact and not trying to lure him out to play or chase her. Of course, can't trust her alone given how curious babies are and if she discovers those stitches she will immediately assume that that is what hurts him and do her best to remove them. Having each other to cuddle and sleep with maybe the best medicine that can be offered to him. We have had some very badly injured primate infants that just have not been responding as well to treatment as they should, even given all the human support possible, and as a last resort allowed another primate in with them for body to body contact, which is so much better than a stuffed toys, and see an amazing turn around when we thought that no matter what great medical treatment we offered we were going to lose the baby, but just having another warm body like themselves to curl and cuddle up with have overnight made a change for a baby we thought was passing to one that was trying to play the next day. Its hard to do, as its one thing to manage a sick baby with bandages and splints and drips and such along in a restraining cage and then to add another to the situation who not only is willing to comfort but does not value all the medical devices we have in place to support the little one. It usually means we have to double the people watching since a health primate can manage to remove a drip and unbandage his buddy in the three seconds one looks away to grab something, but its well worth it for the sick and injured and we actually now even have certain primates that can't really go out in a more wild environment that we have spent time working with, as one a service animal to be our "nursing assistants". We had several visually impaired primates and one missing a limb that did not cope well out in the 'spaces' that don't mind being confined for period of time in a recuperation cage, as for their own needs they like smaller spaces anyway. They actually do learn that things like stitches and bandages cannot be touched, although we do allow them to admistered to the other on any small open wounds as they would in the wild and we keep an eye on it, but those actually seem to heal quicker when we let the primates do their thing then if we cleaned them up daily and put medications on it. Its actually a bit of a sight to see a primate holding and cuddling and injured infant, with drip tubes tailing around, chittering away reassuring the baby in ways we never could. We actually have had more than a few that we believe lived despite all our medical care, simply because they had a nurse of their own species with them. Its very wise to watch the wild monkeys, and we constantly learn from them on just how it is we should treat the young ones, and not necessarily be thereto catch them if they fall or pull them down if we think they are too high and how is the best way during the short time they may need some hand rearing to model how we feed and how we need to push them away when they get too needy, and foster their independence at the right stage,

Sara Nash, this is how to rehabilitate a monkey. Vervet Forest does not use diapers or a nursery where they use diapers. Everyone else, please forgive me for this comment.
