I recently discovered your channel. Great work. I was on my way for a 3-yr Vlogging tour through here Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Burma, Bangladesh, India & Sri Lanka, but decided to stop at the Hawaiian Islands for a yr, but ended up stranded here b/c of Covid. Hoping to resume next yr. It appears you & Mickey Stotch are beating me to this. I lived & worked in Cambodia + Thailand from 2005 to 2012, now missing there a lot. Keep up the great work! Loving it!

Great video, it looks so empty of people. Your thai is good, but learn more will be brilliant. I try and learn more from my thai wife but it is so difficult to learn,especially when you get to my age. I found I forget lots of thai when I'm back in england, your lucky you can hear thai language all the time when you're back home in Bangkok. Great relaxing video, love your positive outlook. Another great video, thanks. I have heard those Spotted Bull Frogs after a hard Thai rain while on the island of Koh Larn off of Pattaya. I was in my room late at night with my Thai girl lulling off to sleep when they started up as loud as can be. I said to her, “What the hell is THAT!!??”. She started laughing. It was like the Thai.version of , My Cousin Vinny. lol Also happy to see the dogs being taken care of. When I got back to the States last summer (2019), I started an official, tax exempt, non-profit to specifically help animals in Thailand and other SE Asian countries. It became official in March. By then the virus hit so it’s all on hold for now.. I am looking forward to your next episode.

Okay, as you suggested I am looking at your other videos. I still haven't been contacted by locals with best deals on places to stay long term when I asked for some in your other videos... So if you could possibly reach out to them I'm sure we all appreciate it much. I have been looking everywhere and deals are so awesome now.. But my heart is still in Thailand. I lived in Thailand three years in same condo so... Long term okay if everything is in order. Need the heat... And that rainfall while sitting under shelter looks so soothing. I know it is. I hope things get better there soon... It's such a different Thailand than we knew before. Soon Good video. Cheers!

Hi, sorry I have no contacts or affiliation (nor receive any commissions etc) from any of the places shown. Asking them to contact you back in the comments of my video seems a long shot. Perhaps best note the name of the place, search for their website and contact them directly. Last, pls note the prices shown were just prior to Christmas/NY and may change + or -. Good luck:)

Hi I am enjoying your vids, keep up the good work. I am Canadian as well and I was wondering about your $ conversion. you said your breakfast was 100 Baht/ $3.25. Is that the exchange rate you are getting in Thailand. When I look at my App XE Currency Converter it is giving 100 Baht @ $4.26 Canadian. Just curious. Thanks
@SideTripLife4 жыл бұрын
@Remy & Holly Hi, when you see $ being quoted, I'm referring to USD, not our CAD peso... To factor Canadian FX rate, pls refer to our Aussie cousins rupiah rate and add approx 10%.

@@SideTripLife I actually googled it and I think you got the new phone from oppo. and come to think of it, I think you stated as such either 1 or 2 videos back? I would love to get my hands on one, but because it's a chinese phone, I sincerely doubt it will work in the US as every tech item from china is probably not going to be able to work due to "national security issue"... but I will be looking forward to your phone video.

Yes & sadly some are without owners as they're stuck overseas. Fortunately local Thais & Expats have been taking care and feeding, also helping the local animal clinic too. Never came across any mean or bike-chasing dogs on Koh Tao, quite the opposite actually. All friendly and some lonely pooches too but all well cared for. Hats off to all in the Koh Tao community for pitching in despite personal hard times, KUDOS!
