Flooding in North Beach Corpus Christi, TX

Hey guys. I have been living full-time in my F150 for over 4 1/2 years. Sleeping in my truck and enjoying whatever area I am at!
First, we're going to take a drive from Rockport Texas to Portland, Texas .
After the Storm. I wanted to check out the flooding situation at the North Beach section of Corpus Christi.

Good morning Dennis!!! Now that is a lot of flooding, I imagine its hard to have good drainage when you are close to sea level. Not too good for the light house business. Maybe the construction and detours are going to be permanent. Thank you for the ride, have a great day

The Lighthouse is very cool.. Corpus needs to have a plan on drainage. It has flooded there for 80 years now.. Still they just dont get it.. Maybe they cant fix it. I dont know.. Have a great day Dennis and thanks for the ride along..

Dennis I know that area well. It has turned into the biggest mess.. What a hassle to get to an off ramp. I dont know what they are gonna do to solve the bridge issues.. I feel your pain.. It use to be so nice on North beach 20+ years ago before all this building boom started..

Hello amigo. I was wondering about the people who have the bridge phobia, so they drive all the way up to Odem and cut through Taft just to get to the aquarium. Without asked to close it would force them to go over the bridge. I came across quite a few of those people when I was driving for Uber.

Gosh, CC what the heck? that was a nothing storm and what a mess for residents living in those very expensive dwellings. Maybe some yelling at the next public meetings. if a larger storm hits there it's not hard to imagine the huge issues there would be with all that bridge equipment and crane. makes you wonder a few things regarding these city officials...hope your day is good Dennis.

@gccheryl4038 about a year ago I looked up the pricing and I was really surprised at how affordable most of the units are. Of course the ones facing the water get top dollar and in the video I ask about the railing up top and there are some units that have sundecks, which is pretty cool.

Don't you love when that whole area has one exit in the exit is closed? Can you imagine living there and having to drive 8 miles out of your way just to get home?

They should make that street to the lighthouse a 2 way instead of one way. I drove down that one way the last time I was in corpus Christi because it was flooded under the bridge by the lighthouse

Hey Arthur. Unfortunately, if they made it a two-way street permanently, there wouldn't be an exit to North Beach if you were coming from the Portland area. They've had this problem for quite some time. I don't know why they can't get it figured out.

Corpus Christi new harbor bridge just got its first permanent cable stay , the white ones . And still need over 100 feet left to rise , the south and north cable span towers

Not many people know but North Beach is a manmade beach that was made long ago! Every so often they have to add sand because it keeps getting pulled in by the ocean! So in other words it will always flood there..

The reason why them exits are closed on the bridge cause people kept killing themselves and others by getting on the bridge from the wrong way!!! To many drunk drivers leaving Brewster's and concrete street
