That's good you're off the list buddy. I do hope you get some rain but nothing horrible. I posted a short around 9 AM showing some coastal flooding. The heavy stuff is supposed to hit us around noon, but I think we will be OK.

Completion is supposed to be 2026, last I heard. The contractor was the same one who built a bridge that collapsed in Florida a few years ago. They had to put construction on hold to do a quality control study.

Hey Ralph. I'm not positive, but I believe they have gone through at least three different architects and possibly even four. I can't say that I'm looking forward to driving over that bridge. I don't have very much confidence in it. The never-ending story. I hope you're safe and well, buddy I've seen the St. Louis arch twice, but just didn't have a desire to go up into it. Not sure why.

Hi, Dennis. Great video! Thank you for taking us to North Beach again. I enjoyed the Aquarium the one time I went there about 5 years ago. The lighthouse place looks so cool, I hope they can get the residences fully occupied. You got some interesting shots of the new "bridge". Some people think of Blues Brothers when they see it, I think of Sandra Bullock sailing that bus over the gap in Speed. The main event of the storm seems to be missing us & heading into Mexico, we're getting an offshoot of it with rain, flooding and wind and a few thunderstorms. Stay safe, friend.

Good morning friend. I have done two tours on the Lexington myself. What a beautiful museum. I absolutely love the Texas state aquarium as well. They have had plans for many many years to revitalize Beach. They have come and gone. I really like the one that they announced as a certainty that would turn it into a Riverwalk type of area with connecting hotels and restaurants and landscape walkways, and even canals that would have gondolas in them and double as drainage. Nothing ever seems to happen though. It's kind of sad.

@dennis78382 I had heard of these things over the years through friends. Had a yearly membership to the Aquarium and went down there as often as I could. Big ships have always interested me. Even went to Ingleside to see them. I had a close friend that really loved them. Maybe one day the things planned will come. I know up in San Marcos they had gondolas in a man made pond at one of the malls. It was nice, but eventually it was gone. It will be nice to see the Lighthouse too, next time I am down. Morning Dennis! The folks at The National Hurricane Center have changed the definition of a tropical depression. It’s now called a Potential Tropical Cyclone or PTC. C C TX has worked for years to improve North beach,it was in so much disrepair back in the 60 s and70 s people just stayed away,see bridge is a good example of once you cross over towards north beach. Maybe in our life time...Dinnis LoL.

Hey Mike. Years ago, I would talk about all the improvements that were planned for the North Beach area and revitalizing it. They have come and gone. Hopefully one day in our lifetime the bridge will be completed. It will be sad to see the old harbor bridge come down. About three or four years ago I filmed the final night of lights on the old Harbor bridge. Lots of good memories.

Is there even ongoing work on the eternal construction bridge? I know there have been times where everything came to a complete halt due to management, funding, and engineering issues. I was going to add a bridge construction joke, but I'm still working on it. I haven't been to the aquarium in 25 years, I think it's an overdue adventure. I know my daughters would live it even more now that they are grown.

Hey Todd. I don't know what they charge for the aquarium now but last time I looked it was about $36 a person. Basically, if you buy a membership and went twice it more than paid for itself. The aquarium is awesome. I literally went there every Sunday for a year and enjoyed it every time. Great place just to go walk in and get your steps in as well.
