Thanks. What are the reasons for so wide gap between the two part of the building. So far I have watch numerous videos where the gap is usually 25 or 50. I have a project where there is a lateral G+1 extension to an existing G+1 small-scale residential building and I want to have an expansion joint all round the outer edges of the two buildings, starting from foundation to top of slab. The issue is to find a way to prevent air, water ingress and vermin from entering the building through suitable filler materials. This Expansion joint system can't be installed in an hour. There are 4 to 5 steps to complete the whole expansion joint system which take approx 3 days to install the complete system.
