That was interesting and thanks for the video. But to be honest I don't care if a note is a D6 or an X-23. Yes, her technique is flawless and her vocal range is amazing, but that's not why I love her voice. For me what matters when I hear music is the EMOTION. I've listened to great singers with flawless technique and great range before, but I felt nothing. Yes, I realized they did a great performance, but that was it. Technique without passion is cold. Floor Jansen has something special, she lives the music, she enjoys, she uses her face and her body to convey emotions, she's happy when she sings and that's contagious. She is mesmerizing.

So let's start out my comment like this, floor Jansen, there is no singer male or female quite like her even the late great Freddie Mercury would have been highly impressed by this woman and you all know it I hope and pray that floor is around for many many many years to come let her get the dude she deserves let people stop hating on her from any the genre because she can just simply do it all.. only thing her voice is missing is wings and that girl can fly and you all know it.. I am a child of the Marine corps my father served tours and numb I was raised not to cry and her voice helps me to cry and get my emotions out every time I weep like a baby that says it all folks that I'm willing to admit to that to her voice I go from being hard as a rock to being wilted right on the spot looks like Niagara falls coming out of me Amen to her and her band amen....

I always thought that Jussi Björling, the great Swedish tenor, sustaining the B5 at the end of his "slow" version of Nessun Dorma for 8 seconds, was one of the most impressive demonstration of range and power ever. I think this tops that. Granted, it's not the E6 in the original production version, but I've never heard another singer sustain the note for nearly as long. Sarah Brightman held that E6 for only about 3 seconds, and in her whistle register as well.

Think at Wacken 2013 Ghost Love Score her last tone was even hight, an E6 or F6, so she can cover nearly 4 octaves which is outstanding. This in addition to her perfect control, dynamics, and tone of her voice. Then she can sing opera, musical, rock, pop, etc. In summary, I would say, there are quite a lot of great singers out there but found none which combines all of these in one like Floor does.
@lennert85305 жыл бұрын
GLS was "only" a G5. She has hit as high as F6 though, but it was not as memorable. Which tells you it's not about the pitch of the note but more about it's placement in the song and the delivery. I often get chills with notes around her middle vocal range as much as with her higher register.

Her highest note in Wacken 2013 was D6 siren from Romanticide. The GLS Floorgasm was a G#5 belt. Both were so iconic

The ghost love score note is not that high, is just that for most of the song shes in the middle register so when she starts going up it makes an impact. Though when i say not that high, that is still the highest note in Annetes range, so it is pretty high, but nowhere near E6.
