For the pink Drops Melody…do the Honey Sweater by Kutovakika! I am knitting it at the moment and it works up so fast despite being half fisherman’s rib, and it’s a non-stockinette texture that is beautiful with the fluff. It would be amazing in that pink!

For the pink yarn I vote for some kind of cardigan. Possibly with a lace yoke, or lace detailing along raglan increases. Potentially use any pattern and steek it to turn it into a cardigan.

I love your name! Wearing an old look style sweater, do it. That friendsgiving sweater wants to be what it wants to be. My most worn sweater is my big , thick , pilly, "ugly color", sloppy , unevenly spindle spun yarn sweater. I made it to do one job and it does that job very well. It keeps me warm.

My husband and I had just bought a house a few months ago and needed a second baby gate and that following weekend we went to my cousins house for a bday party and her neighbor had a baby gate next to her trash cause she was throwing it away so I took it. Clean not broken she just didn’t want it anymore I guess ! So my son has a trash gate in his room

For the drops melody, I saw someone use it for the 'fluffly ass brioche sweater' by Clara Egger, but held with something else. Perhaps the 'fluffly ass brioche cardigan' will suit your gauge more ? Or the "Sunray sweater" by Celina Dyhring ? In one or two colors.

It is the Honey Cardigan by Kutovakika - Veronika Lindberg. Her is knitted in Drops Melody colour Vanilla 14, but I think your pink yarn could be very, very nice too for this project. Thanks for another video. Have you considered adding a fleece band to the inside of your hats to be cozy next to your face? Cotton yarn can stretch a lot if it is hung. I once saw a crochet sweater become a crochet dress because of the stretch. Perhaps an idea for the cotton is to make dishcloths which is a great way to try different knit or crochet stitches.

I didn’t think to add fleece. I’ll have to do that with my alpaca hat! And it’s crazy how much cotton can grow, I have a sweater that was shrunk after blocking and I’m glad I hung that sweater up so it was able to stretch to a reasonable length, I’m lucky too that my hangers are the same width as my shoulders so it fit so much better after a few months.

A couple ideas for the Drops Melody yarn. Maybe holding it with another yarn...perhaps variegated yarn. I saw on their site some swatchs showing different combos. I think it looks really neat to have a solid with a variegated. It can change the look of a variegated and bring some cohesiveness. Another idea I noticed on their page was that this is feltable! Maybe some slippers or a bag?!!!

I actually really like it. Super soft and really nice to work with. I’ll probably talk about it more once I finish my Ingrid sweater to see how it holds up. I also love the color range available for it. I won’t say for sure until I’m done with this project but I’m pretty sure ill be picking up more

I call it my Polaroid sweater. It is self-drafted, raglan, top down, drops alpaca with 4mm needles. It was the third sweater I ever made (I think)

i’ve never used drops melody so i don’t have any specific recs for patterns but ik kutovakika has said in a video that she really likes it and likes to use it in her own patterns, so maybe she has a good fit?

with cables in cotton at a loose gauge, you're going to lose a lot of stitch definition in the fabric, so the willow pullover with those large cables is probably going to be your best bet. i'd still swatch the hell out of it, if only to see what the whole sweater is going to weigh. I had an admittedly a much denser guage cotton cable sweater and it was sooo heavy to the point of being uncomfortable, like a weighted blanket but only on my shoulders.

😂 I learned that lesson when I held this yarn double for a brioche cardigan. On its own, it’s a heavy dk and two strands was too many. That cardigan is so heavy it falls off constantly 😂

Yea, I think I’m going to make it about 6” shorter than I want it. I’m also not against having to unravel the hem at some point and redoing the ribbing.
