Jalen did a great job on the floors!!! Can't believe he was able to level that spot! Love the color of the grout! And good for you for stepping outside your comfort zone and putting up the shiplap on the counter base! Impressed that your measurements were so consistent. I think mine would have been some a wee bit longer and shorter. You probably already thought of this, but in case you didn't, tiles last a lot longer on floors than they remain in stores so having an extra box or a few extra tiles is sometimes a good idea in case any break. Depends on you. Sometimes you save them and they never get used and sometimes you don't and you need them. If you are crafty, they could always be used down the line for a mosaic table top or something if you don't use them. The boys are becoming great helpers, I see! And that pup is just so adorable. Bet he gets tuckered out a lot in that busy household!

Looks good. Small bit of advice when laying large tiles like this: keep your mortar going in straight lines. When you go in different directions and press the tile down it can trap air under the tile which created a weak point that it prone to cracking

I found you two days ago and have watched all of your fixer upper videos, really have enjoyed them! I don't know how old your house is but seeing the large sliding glass doors reminded me that it is a good idea to check that the glass is tempered. It is easy to see, at one of the bottom corners the glass will be stamped saying tempered or something. Otherwise, if they are old glass they could break into shards and be very dangerous - also check those sidelights glass by the front door. Just thought you should know.

My husband remodeled the laundry room for my early birthday present (May 31)!! I love love love it! I've been wanting it done since we moved in 6 years ago. The walls were an ugly yellow with a green/teal color carpet, who puts carpet in a laundry room lol. Plus the washer and dryer weren't even next to each other. He moved them so they were next to each other, which meant moving pipes, replaced some rotten wood, put a new floor in and tile. My daughter and I painted it a pretty robin's egg blue with white trim. Makes me even want to do laundry lol.

Hey Miss Hannah!!!!! Jaylon did a fantastic job on the tile floor!!!! 👍👍👍👍. You could go to the dollar store to pick up some craft felt and stick it to the back of some of the extra files and use them as trivets for under hot bowls,\pots on your dining table and also for mixing utensils at the stove and a couple of them together would be fantastic beside the even to put not cookie sheets on! They could even be used for your kitchen backsplash. A nice way for some continuity through the 2 rooms so close together! 💖🙏

My dad tiled my jacuzzi tub and he had cedar on hand and put it up around our tub. I love that my Dad helped us he used to build steel buildings years ago and the inside also and houses.

Oh my gosh, I love the new floor in your laundry room! I'm going to have to check out that place where you got it. I would keep the extra tile in storage. You never know when one will crack or be destroyed in some way. Tile patterns often get discontinued. You will be able to replace the tile when needed if you have it on hand. We put new tile in our kitchen 10 years ago, and a couple of them have cracked, and I'm so happy we saved the extra tile, so we can replace them.
