Thank You but could you show more of the kind of carpet strip your using and a close up picture of the job when finished? I think I installed the wrong kind of Strip.

Can you show how you curve a piece?

Michael, Just had a new carpet installed with vinyl plank in the ajoining room. They did not install a transition, they said the one I had would not work. In this video it seems that the metal stip you installed would prevent the floating floor from moving. What could be used for think carpet that meets the vinyl plank?

Looks straight forward, but would love to see some more up-close angles. :)

Why dont you use a rubber mallet? Just wondering. If there's a reason I shouldnt use one, I'd like to know.

The lvp transition should've been used .. tack strip needed in that doorway under carpet . Gripper metal wasn't needed

I have a problem with the nails working their way out over time. And we have to keep pounding them back in. Is there anything else I can use instead of the nails?

Are you nailing through the vinyl? Is that okay to do with a floating floor?
@CarpetExpertBlueprint6 жыл бұрын
Jaime Jimenez thanks for connecting! Some may disagree with this but on a product that is 100% vinyl I would not worry about nailing through. If it’s a laminate ar wood based floating floor I’d avoid nailing through as the expanding and contracting could cause buckling
