So in 6 - 8 weeks, you: - Went to Finland to start rehearsals with NW. - Had Gall Bladder surgery. - Came home, filmed this with Elfa. - Recorded & released the Eurovision cover song with Beste Zangers. - Recovered while being Mum to a 4 yo daughter & be with your partner. - Went back to Finland & performed a Virtual live show. (And obviously had perfect vocal chords in peak shape!) All while in a pandemic! You are simply awesome! 👏 💫 💜 Edit - 1 week later and now Floor has also released a duet with Henk Poort!

It is so truly beautiful the place they decided to live and have their family. They can do the things they enjoy the most and have the peace they need especially considering how Floor has talked a lot about how much she needs a quiet place to be. It's truly beautiful that you two found each other, it is obvious that there is love and you respect each other and these two things are important. I love how they made the garage and the little Freja corner so you can all enjoy your time together. You are blessed in a way to be able to live away from the noise when the job is done and being able to reconnect with the nature and do the things that you love.

Someone asked an acquaintance of mine, who raises a breed, that how much space those sized dogs need at home. Answer: about 1 m², as long as they get enough exercise and can also run freely outdoors. They had 3 of them, they lived in an apartment building and in the summer in a cottage. My sister once also had an "irlis" and two salukis. I only had three Salukis, but there was a fairly similar arrangement with them (Salukis are quite cat-like in nature, except that they must also be run free in a fenced area, if there are bunnies, foxes, squirrels, rats, mice, birds, etc. nearby). 😁

So happy for you! You trully deserve the best life. And I keep telling myself how your Swedish is fantastic and I can't get enough of it. I've never really heard a Dutch person speak Swedish and so it's super interesting with the Dutch accent, with some words it comes through extra strong but no trouble understanding it. What's really impressive is how good you are with the casual grammar and slang words :)

I'm still so surprised at your Swedish, Floor. Most people don't master a language that well after learning it at a later age. And yes, starting to learn another language at 15 is already considered late. Would you say your vocal control has helped you find the right pronunciations more easily than non-singers would? I don't know if there's been research into this subject, but investigating a possible relation between professional vocal control and language acquisition seems very interesting.

You might find this interesting: There are actual researches that point towards any mucisian being able to pick up languages more easily. Apparently there is overlap between the areas of you brain that you use to play an instrument and the areas that you use to learn a language. Don't know about singing in specific though.
