I learned everything i know about side imaginng and locating fish, objects, structure, ect... From davis's videos.i started watching about 4 yrs ago and never owned a graph in my life until i bought the Garmin 93 sv uhd. I watched davis's videos over and over and over studying them. And then when i got my unit i took the videos to the lake with me.i now can go to any lake in the state and turn my unit on and with enough time i can locate crappie and most of the time catch them. And it is all free to learn!!! I've came a long way from the days of old. Thanks davis for all the great videos.

A good explanation that was told to me about the dark area is it is the depth of the area you are traveling through. The long line in the center is the center of your boat ( transducer) Great video and explanation on what we are seeing. I grew up in Minnesota.

@@FloppingCrappie I’ll have to thank ya for this video. I’ve never had much luck out of my side imaging. Yesterday I headed out to bull shoals and decided to put your settings and suggestions to use. I was able to find several brush piles with fish setting on them. I now know what I’m looking for and looking at. I ended up with a limit (15) of nice big bull shoals crappie. Thanks again for the video

Sorry guys. If we could only pull gold nuggets out of the water occasionally, maybe this would be something for all of us. I love how these guys get in $200k boats with another $30k in imaging equipment, and then pass it off as "it's just as simple as this". Richard Gene the Fishing Machine catches more crappie than anyone I know, and he uses a depth gauge and thermometer. 😂

The reason I make these videos is to educate anglers who may have recently purchased a unit with side imaging and want to understand what they are viewing.

@@FloppingCrappiehey man keep putting these videos on here. I’m new to crappie fishing and like to see all different techniques. I really like Richard Gene’s videos too and I try to work on things he shows every time I’m out there on the water. It’s frustrating as you can imagine but I still work at it. I don’t knock those who use live scope, it’s cool and I want one but they’re expensive. I will have one I can tell you that, but for now I’m working on basics and will soon buy a good side imaging unit and these videos you put out help me. I’m sure I’m not the only one. To each their own as the saying goes. Even with live scope I’ve heard it takes a while to master catching. It’s the approach, the color and size of baits and tons more. Keep posting man!
