I stay in west Florence as well, not in this part but pretty close to it, and I applaud your bravery because I know a lot of people who wouldn't put themselves on camera. I'm 24, in my junior year of college, I work and the most valuable education I believe someone could ever have is book and street smarts! I've seen and been around a lot of black people who live in these areas of Florence and it's sad because they just settle for the welfare check or decide to hustle. Its unfortunate because we have so much more potential than that as a collective! I've always had a mindset to do better for myself, and I will not become a product of my environment. When I was younger I watched my mother struggle as a single mom and I vowed not to become a statistic! I'm currently focusing on making better financial choices, looking into investing so I can build generational wealth and not get stuck in the cycle of poverty.

Well, the new Mayor of Florence live 2 streets east where the interview was conducted and the initial taping of the 1st homes were on Gladstone Street where she lines. Hopefully she will be able to help her constituents.

I'm trying to see what she's doing! All this shooting going on in west florence. The only time I ever heard her say anything about shooting was when that City employee got killed at the center. Address the other shootings as well.
