I was at this with my now wife. I was planning to propose whilst watching Suede at John Peel tent the following night. We’re both big fans of Suede and Florence but Suede were the first band we saw together five years earlier. During this performance I actually put my hand in my pocket to get the ring box and do it a day early. When I looked at my girlfriend she was already sobbing at this so thought it best to wait until Suede as planned.

Depression has roots to something or some event that has or is about to happen in your life. Life goes on and nothing will stop time, not even the fact you're at your lowest. Nothing shameful with being at your lowest, it shows you the importance of lone-time. Positivity is key, even if it's false. You're needed on this world, remember that. Without you it'll just be another floating planet.

I just started watching the Foo Fighters concert at Glastonbury 2017 when I heard Dave saying that Florence covered Times like These and I just had to open another KZbin widow and watch it. +Karina Belkina The Foo Fighters wrote the song, I prefer their version but this is still beautiful. The reason she sang it is because Dave Grohl, the singer of the Foo Fighters broke his ankle and couldn't perform. So she took their spot at short notice. She sang one of their songs to give the crowed a bit of Foo Fighters since they missed out.

When I first watched the video of this, the video had the bit where she talked about Dave Grohl and then when she sang this, I almost cried. I think this is a beautiful tribute, best song from Foo too. Also had plenty of fun playing this back in uni, that guitar riff was pretty great. First saw Florence and the Machine in 2009 , when she was bottom of the NME tour in Birmingham . I had never heard anything from her. I walked in to an empty venue around 730 and walked to the front of the stage. She was half way through a song. Then she played another one . At the end I turned to my friend Mike, and said "this girl is sensational she is going to be huge" One of the great live performers in the history of "the rock and roll years " (1954/present) , and one of a number of present artists who IMO give a lie to those who keep saying "there is no great music around nowadays" Of course they have calcified .
