it depends on your home most app[apartment complexes have been here since the 70's and 20 miles away from the coast is a good idea.. dont have to leave its not a tornado its wind and water.. yea with debry every where..lol saltlife man....saltlife im 6 miles away from clearwater beach.. and i think i got a fighting chance ..lol got my bluetti ac200max charged up bot my 3 battery rc cooler charged up, it has head lights to use..lol and got my car battery jump started battery , 4 five gallon jugs of fresh water, 3 propane tanks , solar cooker, even got a solar panel if needed.. what more can i possibly do to prepare.. the damn boats my only concern.. sailboat morgan 41 cc ketch. with a bare deck now.. ... hold strong everyone.. hold strong

This is truly heartbreaking, I've been to Florida a few times and was about to return but it got canceled due to the hurricane, I was always treated well by the people in FL, I'm sending all my prayers and hoping this hurricane doesn't do much damage, everyone who can evacuate do so, trying to ride out the hurricane can end very badly, stay safe and I hope to visit during Christmas ❤🙏🏻

While that may be true, its the flying debris that will cause a lot of damage. Palm trees don’t have very deep roots. Could pose a problem. I would think it’s better to be safe than take a risk particularly if you have a family to protect. You can replace stuff, but not loved ones.
