We recently spent 7 days rustic camping in The Keys and I'm so excited to bring you our adventures! Big Pine Fishing Lodge is our favorite place to camp right on the Key Deer Refuge. Each day we planned an excursion - Snorkeling Looe Key Reef with Captain Hook's, toured Key West on a Golf cart that we rented at Fun Rentals Key West, took a trip to Pigeon Key with fishing & snorkeling gear in tow for an epic day trip, kayaked around and through No Name Key & more. What area exactly you camp in this video? We go to Big Pine every year and is our first time on rustic camping. I like this area since is close to the water. This area you camp has a specific name. Thanks for this wonderful video. I wish I can find that tunnel since we are bringing our kayaks. Blessings!

Thanks so much for watching 💙 This is Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge, now Big Pine Key RV Resort, right next to the Key Deer Refuge, one of our favorite places to camp! 🤩 The tunnel is around No Name Key, there is an entrance but a bit hidden. Go past the No Name bridge and you will see it at some point on your right. Enjoy! 💙

We had a wonderful experience at Big Pine Key. My husband booked a 3 night stay at Rustic Camping site but we stayed only 2 nights because we were beaten up by ‘no seems.’ Seems you didn’t have problems with the ‘no seems’, what protection did you use?

There was one night when my friends got bit up so we shared my lamp and it works amazing! Get this it will keep them away within 20-15 feet 👍👍 Also Skin so soft and Eucalyptus oil works wonders for no seums. Beautiful .. when i go check out it says rustic camping ( shows a water view) or camping with beach view..shows the same picture..not sure what the difference is? Did you do beach view camping?

Yes we did beach camping, it is the best spot, the Key Deer are always around and you can drop an SUP or kayak right off your site. Best sunrise view too! When are you planning to go?
