See, us long-term Panthers fans KNEW that the Huberdeau 100+ point season was a fluke - a by-product of a contract year and playing with elite players like Barkov. Huby was always more about the points and records than the team... especially after he made that comment on social media about being "happy to be home" after the Panthers literally had just gotten swept by the Lightning. Bill Zito knew what he was doing... and look at Huby now. Panthers fans would NEVER want Huberdeau back, lol.

Been partying nonstop for nearly a week on no sleep haha. As an Islanders fan, I say congratulations to the Panthers. They were the definition of irrelevant for nearly 20 years. They missed the playoffs 16 of 18 seasons from 2001 to 2019 and now they’ve busted their way out of futility with the run in 2023 and then winning a championship the very next year.
