I just had my surgery for the same issue on the 7th . Tuesday and home on Saturday. I’m doing well will be a long recovery. Mine was open as well. Aortic valve. Sending prayers and we’ll wishes. If you need to talk or ask questions I am here . Tomorrow will be one week after surgery. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you for the prayers. I am glad you are doing well. I was okay with it all until I googled the surgery. That freaked me out a little. She will have a long recovery but I feel good everything will go well with it. I know the seriousness of it but also know that its a surgery that is done every day with excellent results. ~ Nancy

I have experienced the hot car issue when I’ve used the frixion pen doing embroidery. The solution is to put your piece in the freezer and the design does come back. I’m also a quilter and had heard the story of a quilt sent to a show to be judged and when they “unboxed” it for display the lines drawn reappeared because it was so cold in the cargo hold of the plane. The only way to truly eliminate it would be to wash your fabric.

Always love watching your videos ladies. Nancy, hoping for strength and healing to your daughter. You will be very tired, but what a gift to your daughter to know the babies will get lots of attention and love while she is in the hospital. I was hospitalized for almost 2 weeks right after my son’s birth and my Mom took time off from work and took care of a newborn so my husband could work and come to see me for a bit and run breast milk back and forth. Grandma’s are pretty special people.

All of your projects are beautiful. I especially loved the Whitman’s sampler candy box. It was so pretty. I also liked the quilt squares that had been traced and colored in. That is going to be a beautiful quilt when it’s finished. I have a cheap Black and Decker iron and it works for me. I don’t use the steam feature but instead use a spray bottle. I mostly use it to iron my finished cross stitch pieces and haven’t had any issues with it. Prayers for your daughter with her heart surgery and taking care of the babies. I’m so glad you’re redoing this! I was one of the ones who tried to watch the one where sound wasn’t working correctly. I’m watching again, and this is a great video. I love the Charlotte Lyons embroidery put on a project bag. I don’t know if I’m right but I think Charlotte was often in Mary Englebreit magazines. I used to get them and was so sad they stopped making them. I possible saved articles from them. Her name is very familiar. I plan to google her. Thinking she had a book or two? I’m a cheap iron person, too. After many Rowenta’s that always spit I gave up. My current iron was discounted to $5 and I’m quite happy with it. I got tired of tea dying things to try to hide the spots. Hope the surgery and the twin sitting goes well.

Lots of great patterns. I especially liked the first drum that you showed, with the peacock. It's funny you should talk about driving in the wind. I'm returning home from a PA trip, back to TN, towing my tiny camper, and I had to leave early this morning to beat the high winds, starting at noon, with gusts of 45-65mph. I'm parked at a campground for a day or two, to wait it out. It sure wasn't fun driving even in 25mph gusts this morning!
