Welcome home Karen. So glad to see you tonight in Ireland. Hope you find the issue with the Red Deer. I don't like when that happens. I usually put the project away for a few days & do something different before going back when, usually, the issue becomes apparent & I feel like a fool for not seeing it earlier. Congratulations on getting into Stitch Con. I'm watching everyone gathering for Stitch North this weekend & am definitely suffering from fomo in a bad way. It's lovely to see a new quilt. I look forward to seeing them every time. Enjoy being home. Hope you get lots of stitching time in the next few weeks. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪

Hello, Karen, glad you are back home safe and sound and enjoying your space for sewing again! Your Red Deer Sampler is so beautiful and hope your find the error. Karen, So glad you are back, safe, sound, & Stitching in your Happy Place! I loved your flat-fold finish! I must have missed your preview of that chart, can you tell me the Brand/Designer Name please? I think that is a wonderful gift idea for several friends that have moved to other state & are missed dearly. I am sympathetic about your Red Deer mismatch 😞. I have done that so many times and after searching for a while and not finding the issue, the best thing I can do is to walk away for a day or two and coming back, it quickly becomes "obvious" where the problem is. I hope you find it soon and enjoy the project. That chart is on my "Wish List" and I hope to stitch it within the next year or two. Loved your new project bag, & the Granny Squared Quilt (you are so talented)! Thank you for sharing your time & talents with us. I’m glad you made it home. I’d be interested in hearing more about how you decided to get a long arm. I’ve been to quilt shows and I’m afraid to even try to use the machine. As for the red deer, we cannot tell there is a mistake. It isn’t a geometric pattern. Sometimes I feel the mistakes I make are better than the original chart.

Ann, Thank you for your comment on my video. I attended two days of classes at a quilt show with Claudia Pfeil. We had hands on time on an APQS Lucey. That made my decision. I love your quilt! The colors and fabrics are just beautiful! And the quilting is just lovely! I'm glad you showed it up close. If your kids don't want it, I'll claim it🤣. I probably have "dreamed" cross stitching before, but when I was actively teaching in a classroom, I can tell you I definitely dream taught many a lesson! 😂. They were pretty good too!🤣. That's too bad about the red deer not matching up. Maybe the mistake is not in the deer, but in the flowers that you counted off from or used as a landmark in either the bouquet to the left or the border. That happened to me once with a piece that I came up a row off on. It was a mistake that I made in a flower in the border that I had been using as a marker to count off from. Maybe check the flowers? Hope you find it or are able to work around it. Glad you got into Stitch Con!

Linda, Thank you for your compliment. I took two days of hands-on classes at a quilt show from Claudia Pfeil. The machines provided for the class were APQS Lucey. That is the machine I bought. I don't have any of the fancy accessories. It is fully hand guided. Life-time guarantee. I have had great support from APQS. I certainly won't need another machine in my lifetime. My advice is take a class/classes that give you hands-on experience with a teacher. Go to AQS quilt shows that have vendors. They will let you try out their machines. You want to be comfortable with the machine you purchase. It is a big investment, so you want to be happy with it. Good luck. Best, K
