i finished work and your video came up - perfect start into the weekend 😍😍 i LOVE your finish of “Mighty Acorns” 😍 I need to stitch that and get my hands on that pattern. Thank you so much Alex. I really recommend the Blackbird book that has Mighty Oak in it. There are so many beautiful things to stitch in it. I have another 3 or 4 on my list for Autumn starts that are all from it so you'll see more! I haven't made as much progress on For Thee yet as having the debates in my head about adding the pink.....I am sure it will be picked up soon again and I will make a decision! Thanks Sal for entertaining me once again as I quilted! The Mighty Oaks finish is just beautiful- well done! My favourite WIP: Go Tell It - because I always associate you with mountains. Loving the Mum show at the end too (I also guessed Lizzie Kate for Daughters are delightful!). Keep up the good work. I have too many quilting WIPs to pick up any of the multiple cross stitch WIPs just right now, but I have my sew-jo back so I feel I’m edging closer back to cross stitch ❤

Mighty Acorns is fabulous Sally. You’re really in control of your starts and WIPs which is great. I think clearing up your existing WIPs before the end of 2023 was a good move, and wish I could have done more that way too because it is hard to just start and then leave things. Especially when they’re all so much fun 😍

Thank you Sarah. I really enjoyed Mighty Acorns so it was easy to keep picking it up to get it finished. I'm glad I managed to clear some of my existing wips but it did take a lot of determination not to start new things. But you will get back to projects before too long I'm sure and they will still be fun! Hopefully you will get some of the smalls finished quickly and that will free up some time for other things. Keep enjoying it 🥰❤️😘

I really like your Mighty Acorns - I’ve already bought the blue jeans to stitch my house in!! Those Country Companions hedgehogs were no joke to stitch - especially on Aida!! My friend bought me a kit of one by a wishing well - I think it’s in my loft!!

Mighty Oak is gorgeous! I love the blue house and the scrolly border! I feel the same about stitching with white... my stitches never seem to look as nice in white.

Mighty oaks looks fantastic. Purple is my favourite colour as well and is the one I tend to lean to for most monochromatic projects but I’m trying to not do that as much. Love the Lila freebie so I’m off to investigate it

Great mighty acorns finish. Michele from Pennysdauhtershares and Jen from twotallstitchers are doing and FFO challenge # ffochallenge2023 and 2024. I got 18 out of 24 but Michele went beyond this.

Oh happy 2024 birthday year! Yes I am celebrating all year with my stitching! I was so good towards the end of last year in working hard to finish my WIP's and have no new starts so started 2024 in such a good place. Now I don't know what 2025 is going to look like with all the starts from this year.....that will be another challenge 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Do you know I’ve never really understood how someone could get enjoyment out of multiple wips. I like to finish what I start. Like reading 1 book at a time. But I guess that’s because I I like smalls. However , I actually now get it. With such big projects it’s easy to lose interest so it mixes it up a bit & keeps it fresh. xx

Love your finish on mighty oaks ❤ I’m going to start Remember Me this month on the 27th which would be my mums birthday 😢 first one without her 😢she would have been 85. It’s probably going to take me a long time to do though because will probably only stitch on it once a month because doing few others and up to this year I was monogamous stitcher (although only been stitching just over a year 😉) I’ve now got 6 wips and starting 2 this month 😳🪡🧵🪡 looking forward to seeing your progress especially on remember me xx

Oh I'm so sorry about your Mum. It will be a hard year this year as I am sure there will be lots of first times without her. Remember Me is a beautiful piece to stitch for her though. I am impresssd you have only been stitching for a year and giving it a go. It is a big one but continuously doing a bit each month and it will get done. I have stitched on it for the last couple of days and loved it!!! I do think as you get more confident with stitching the number of wips you have starts to grow....😆 Happy Stitching lovely x
