Hi Katie. Your cross stitches are beautiful. I love the peonies with the black fabric. It would look lovely as a bag too. The house one looks gorgeous and the castle looking one looks great. For the bear cross stitch you could leave the flowers wreath and do another quilt pattern using the log quilt pattern or a triangle pattern for on the quilt and use the brown orange colour you did use in the bear in that and maybe use a darker green or use other colours that you think would work. Just an idea for you. Hope you have a good weekend.

I think it is the lack of tutorials in English for Saga that hold people back, it did me. I use Cross Stitch Paradise Pro, and love it, in fact I prefer it to PK. I love the Peony, but that you can see through the screen how horrid the floss looks. Congratulations for sticking with it. Kay xx

I made a tutorial and soon, hopefully, will post one how to transfer pattern to saga form 😊 but yes I agree on English speaking side of flosstube not lot of flosstubers talk about saga, so I’m trying to mention it in all my videos 😀

I think that the DMC colors have changed somewhat over the years. So a number from the 1990’s isn’t the same as it is now. Not certain about that but I see people comment about color changes on other FlossTube channels.

I’ve seen it too like tone down or up but I’ve never deal with such a difference, so it was a shock for me 🙈😄 the quality is ok, so may be it’s a DMC 🤷‍♀️

@@RedsStitchery I bought an old Santa kit recently. It had a jumbled bunch of colors. Thankfully there was a column showing the number of strands per color. But there were 3 different shades of red left over for only one symbol. I may have to buy several skeins of a red so I have one uniform color. I like buying the kits, but the threads in the old kits can be so strange. Your bear looks great!! So cute! And….that Chateleine is absolutely stunning!! 💙🤍🩵

😂 I see what you see! I think you are right, blue will fix it. Maybe make the shapes more flower like by adding petals on the round shape.

What about change the green leaf wreaths on the quilt to a different shade that is green with a blue undertone. You can even blend… even a subtle sparkle. The charted flowers on the quilt could be changed to a simple 2 color form rose with a better form. I would sit with graph paper and colored pencils to try it out. You can borrow from other patterns you like too. Or change flowers to hearts. Changing them to blue just looks too matchy matchy, simplistic, and almost like you were missing a floss color. I wasn’t sure if it was the leaf wreaths or the flowers on the quilt that bothered you. It’s coming out great! I prefer a brown tan bear than an orange one.

About the " Sweet Teddy with Quilt ", I would leave the quilt out ! The teddy is nice but the quilt is unnecesary I think. Your idea of an actual lace & ribon border would work well.
